Just heard about Charlie having a podcast and I had to investigate. Charlie the “pastor” helped me deconstruct and reconstruct my faith by creating an open environment at the Commons. Excited to listen and join the conversation.

Charlie’s views are certainly contrarian. But I find it interesting to hear views that don’t coincide with the majority of theologians. Keep it coming!

Charlie is a bridge builder. We need more conversations like this.

Just wow. Recently binged this podcast on a roadtrip, and it sparked such great conversations with my husband that the trip flew by. These are the conversations the American church needs to be having, and not just though Facebook sound bites. Charlie tackles hard issues head on -- feminism, gun control, hell, how faith evolves, how we interpret the bible -- in a deftly skillful and nuanced way. My husband and I went back and forth about the issues he brought up. I've already recommended this podcast to friends in the same boat as me - deconstructing/trying to reconstruct Christians. If you're feeling discouraged with the American church, want to hear your own views challenged, and want to "spin the gem" of faith to see a glimmer of hope, this is your podcast.
