    Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @reka-zalan for the 138th installment of Amplify Series. Reka Zalan is a Berlin-based DJ, born to a Hungarian father and a German-Dutch mother. Her sets unfold with a keen sense of focus, shifting between hypnotic depth and percussive drive. Navigating through different shades of techno with an open heart, she weaves together trippy, sometimes psy-tinged tension, rattling grooves, mental maelstroms, and uplifting momentum into one coherent arc. While she started out DJing digitally, she has also learned the craft of vinyl over the years and now enjoys working fluidly with both formats. In addition to recent back-to-back appearances with peers such as Rill, she occasionally performs as No Life Signal, a back-to-back duo with fellow DJ THNTS. Growing up in southern Germany and still attending school, her early interest in electronic music and DJ culture led friends to gift her a DJ workshop — a step that marked the beginning of her journey. While studying cultural sciences in Bremen, she began playing her first gigs and became involved in the city’s subcultural scene. After moving to Berlin in 2015, she gradually established herself as a DJ, co-curating a party series at Mensch Meier before joining the booking team of ://about blank. There, she later became a resident and, together with THNTS and their close friend Marc, co-ran the techno-focused in-house series ://elements for several years. Since 2023, she has held a local residency at the renowned Tresor Club and also plays at other key Berlin venues like Berghain – where her debut marked a personal milestone on her path. Off the dancefloor, Reka has been part of the Hard Wax record store team since 2019, where she continues to deepen and broaden her musical horizons. She is also a member of coppi, a cultural space and collective in Lichtenberg that hosts weekly community-led studio sessions. Before fully immersing herself in club culture, she worked at the Berlin Music Commission, supporting the city’s music industry network. Whether behind the decks or behind the scenes, Reka is driven by curiosity and a deep sense of connection with like-minded people — always aiming to build bridges through a shared love of sound and collective experience. On top of his DJ and Live Performance career, he is currently teaching music production with modular synths at Modular Moon Amsterdam and has been the label head at Modular Side Music since 2019. His love for the underground sounds, is present in everything he does, so expect a focus on synthetic landscapes, dark and evolving ambiences from his modular rig.     Electro Noir Chronicle is a new series of compilation featuring emerging talents and established artists who are shaping the full spectrum of the electro sound. RVRSRVR is a project by Ravi Raisa, electronic music producer and live performer based in the suburbs of Venice, Italy. Driven by a deep fascination with synthesis and hardware machines, RVRSRVR approaches music as a tangible, exploratory practice. His works go from techno to more niche experimental forms moving between broken beats and abstract sound design. Rather than focusing on a specific style, RVRSRVR is interested in how sound works, evolves and connects people on the dancefloor. His live performances balance structure and unpredictability, aiming to make the listener move while staying curious. At its core, Ravi Raisa ’s project reflects the mindset of a synth nerd who enjoys experimenting, building sounds and sharing that energy on a sound system. As a DJ, Antonio delivers powerful and immersive sets, blending old-school textures with cutting-edge productions. His performances are driven by tension, rhythm and storytelling, whether in intimate underground spaces or large-scale festivals. Constantly evolving, his work explores unconventional paths and hybrid sonic languages. His sound is rooted in minimal techno, shaped by experimentation, emotion and a deep connection with the dancefloor.
