Food-obsessed friends Jen and Abby share their Iron Chef-style food battles, reading Yelp reviews in-character, and culinary hot-takes.
Batch #9 - My Dinner with Jendre
Ever wonder what it’s like in the moment at one of Jen & Abby’s food battles? This batch comes to you live from inside battle headquarters (aka Jen’s kitchen) so you can experience the food fight in real time. Plus, Abby invents a new game and puts Jen’s tastebuds to the test in Grocery Store Roulette.
Batch #8 - Thomas Thacker, Southern Grace Distilleries
Jacob joins Jen and Abby in the studio for a special bourbon tasting with Thomas Thacker of Southern Grace Distilleries. Between sips the ladies learn about the art and science of distilling whiskey... and why Southern Grace does it best in an old prison.
This one's for the birds. Abby over-extends herself once again in a food battle, callers share their food mantras, and Jen highlights her experience at the Crave CLT food & drink festival.
Batch #6: Chef Chase Sobelman
Chef Chase Sobelman joins Jen & Abby for their first virtual interview. They discuss boys, the challenges of designing nutritious and delicious school lunches, and the delicate intersection of culture and authenticity.
Jen and Abby reflect on the highs and lows of Food Battle: Nuts, share some local Yelp reviews, and take calls from listeners about their signature dish. Follow us on Instagram @amused.bouche.pod or email us: email@example.com
Batch #4 - Rob Clement - Meshugganah
Talk about working your way to the top. Rob Clement of @meshugganah joins Amused Bouche to share his origin story, make waves in the restaurant industry, hype the new brick & mortar location, and share verbal diarrhea about underrated vegetables.
I’m lovin it

Like a perfect dinner out with friends
Listening to Amused Bouche, I feel like Jen and Abby are at my kitchen table. They are quick and funny and charming as heck. This podcast is personified comfort food and a celebration of Charlotte’s food scene all in one. Tune in for the Yelp review re-enactments, stay for the interviews with the Queen City’s culinary movers and shakers.
Important Feedback for Batch 3
First of all, this podcast is everything.
Had to share some feedback on Batch 3 specifically.
1. Chad’s review of Two Scoops was HILARIOUS. Well done Jen
2. Abby, as you guys started describing battle squash I kept thinking about a stuffed acorn squash recipe I’ve made and then you took the words right out of my mouth. However, it’s gotta be real sausage (Sorry Jacob!) and fresh rosemary, Parmesan cheese and Panko bread crumbs also make it next level.
3. When I go to the movies I like my popcorn soft and smothered with butter and I like my candy BUNCHA CRUNCH. Nothing else will do. Okay maybe a Goober or two but BUNCHA CRUNCH first and foremost.
4. Jen, your commentary on Hawkers wings is spot on. I’ve never had such a wing experience before.
Love you ladies, keep it up!
P.S. I’m in on battle breakfast and battle salad!
