Can You Really Walk with Jesus Christ?

When life falls apart, when faith feels distant, and when everything you thought was certain starts to unravel, the Spirit may be closer than you think. This episode is about faith, heartbreak, second chances, and learning to follow Jesus Christ when the path makes no sense. The house was dark, but Cari couldn’t sleep. Too much had changed.  Too many things she once felt sure about no longer felt steady.  Her life looked nothing like she thought it would, and the faith that used to come so easily now felt just out of reach. She hadn’t planned to end up here. She was raised in a home where Jesus Christ was part of everything — scripture, prayer, family, purpose. As a young woman, she was strong in her beliefs, bold in her convictions, certain about the life she wanted to live. But life has a way of taking turns you never see coming. Choices led to places she never expected.  Marriage brought joys she loved — and trials she never imagined.  Fear, illness, and pressure slowly began to reshape the world she thought she understood. And in the middle of it all, something began to happen she couldn’t explain. Impressions she hadn’t asked for.  Moments that felt too perfectly timed.  A quiet feeling she thought she had lost. It didn’t come all at once.  It never does. This is a story about what happens when the life you planned falls apart…  and God begins leading you somewhere you never meant to go. TRIGGER WARNING:This episode includes discussion of abortion, pornography, satanic societies, as well as divorce, which may be sensitive for some listeners. Please take care as you listen. 00:00 — He’s not distant—Jesus Christ is closer than you think. 01:44 — Faith begins in the home—and shapes everything that follows. 10:24 — When you truly ask for Him, be ready—He will come. 12:30 — That moment with Christ can change your life forever. 14:07 — The Holy Spirit speaks when you create space to listen. 16:08 — Trials don’t mean God left—you’re being led through them. 20:43 — Sometimes the Spirit says one thing: just go. 24:25 — When you surrender, God shows you what really matters. 29:34 — The real test is living truth and love at the same time. 37:30 — The breaking you resist may be the blessing you prayed for. 40:27 — God can’t fully use you until you let go of yourself. 52:08 — Stop consuming your faith—start contributing to it. Show Notes:  https://www.schooloflifemastery.com/operating-in-gods-economy Have you felt the weight of the world pressing down on you? The endless grind, the constant striving, the feeling that no amount of effort is enough to break free? I have. I’ve seen it in the faces of so many around me, in the restless eyes, the voices weary from chasing a promise that man’s economy cannot fulfill. And it breaks my heart. I look at the world we’ve built, and I see a system designed not to liberate, but to ensnare—to keep us producing, consuming, and bowing to the false gods of greed, control, and scarcity. But what if I told you that none of this was what we were created for? It's time to get back to basics and cultivate our relationship with the Holy Trinity, so we are strong in the latter days.

  4. What Happens When Your Faith Gets Shaken?

What Happens When Your Faith Gets Shaken?

What happens when your faith is tested—and everything you thought you knew starts to feel uncertain? In this Covenant Question, we ask one of the most real and revealing questions: Can you share a time when your covenant with God was tested? For many in the LDS faith, we expect challenges—but we don’t always expect the internal wrestle that comes with them. The moments where obedience feels unclear, emotions run high, and you’re left wondering if you’re getting it right. In this conversation, we share two deeply personal experiences—one about learning to let go of control and trust God in the middle of imperfection… and another about facing a faith crisis within family relationships that brought everything into question. Through prayer, scripture study, and temple worship, the answers didn’t come all at once—but they came. And with them came clarity, peace, and a renewed understanding of what it truly means to keep covenants with God. Because being tested isn’t a sign you’re doing something wrong— it may be the very thing that anchors you to Him. 0:00 The Covenant Question: When Faith Is Tested 0:17 “We Will Prove Them”—Why Tests Are Part of the Plan 0:41 A Talk in Church That Didn’t Go as Planned 1:14 Doing What God Asks (Even When It’s Hard) 1:45 Frustration, Failure, and Letting Go of Control 2:07 “I’m in the Midst”—A Powerful Correction from God 2:50 When Family Challenges Shake Your Faith 3:30 Searching for Truth in the Middle of Confusion 4:26 “You Have to Tell Me What’s True” 4:58 Revelation Through the Temple 5:22 Realizing How Close You Were to Walking Away 5:38 “I Knew I Was Home”

What Does Walking With Jesus Actually Look Like?

What does a real, daily relationship with Jesus Christ actually look like? In this Covenant Question, we move beyond the stories—and into real life. Because it’s one thing to hear powerful spiritual experiences… but it’s another to understand how someone actually walks with the Savior every single day. This is the exact question we ask our podcast guests: What does your relationship with the Lord look like in your daily life? In this conversation, you’ll hear a simple but powerful example of what it means to “look unto Christ in every thought”—not just in big moments, but in everyday decisions. From a prompting in a Costco aisle… to a quiet but direct correction while driving… this is what it looks like to live in ongoing conversation with God. For those in the LDS faith seeking a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, this episode will help you recognize how the Spirit speaks, how repentance plays a daily role, and how small choices either invite—or limit—His presence. Because walking with Jesus isn’t complicated. But it is intentional. And it might be simpler than you think. 0:00 Why This Covenant Question Matters 0:17 What Does Your Daily Relationship with God Look Like? 0:32 A Prompting in Costco You Don’t Expect 0:57 “Look Unto Me in Every Thought” 1:44 The Power of Daily Repentance 2:24 When Entertainment Pushes the Spirit Away 2:48 Listening for God in Everyday Moments 3:07 A Direct Answer from the Spirit 3:24 “You Don’t Have the Luxury of Losing the Spirit”

    The Moment God Became Real

What if one question could deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ? While we wait for new General Conference talks, we’re doing something a little different. Instead of our usual anchor points, we’re introducing Covenant Questions—the exact questions we ask our podcast guests to uncover real, lived relationships with God. Today’s question: When did your relationship with God become real to you? This isn’t about a perfect answer. It’s about recognizing the moments—big or small—where Heaven broke through. In this conversation, we share personal experiences of feeling the Spirit as a child, learning to recognize it, and later witnessing God move in very real, undeniable ways during a time of urgent need. For anyone in the LDS faith seeking to feel closer to the Savior, this question invites you to pause… reflect… and see your own story differently. Because often, God has already been there— we just need to recognize Him. Take this question with you today. Sit with it. Pray about it. Your answer might change more than you expect. 0:00 Why We’re Shifting to Covenant Questions 0:27 What These Questions Are (and Why They Matter) 0:55 The First Question: When Did God Become Real? 1:09 A Childhood Experience with the Spirit 1:44 Learning to Recognize What That Feeling Was 2:18 Nourishing Faith Over Time (Alma 32 Principle) 2:50 “Did Not Our Hearts Burn Within Us?” 3:23 Recognizing God in Real Time as an Adult 3:47 A Family Crisis and a Step of Faith 4:05 Watching God Provide in Miraculous Ways 4:52 When God Becomes Undeniably Real

More Than A Believer -- Becoming A Disciple of Jesus Christ

What does it truly mean to become a disciple of Jesus Christ—especially when you feel like you’ve fallen short? In this AnchorPoint episode, we explore powerful teachings from Russell M. Nelson about our divine identity as children of God, children of the covenant, and disciples of Jesus Christ. If you’ve ever wondered how to stay faithful when you feel imperfect, this message will speak directly to your heart. Discipleship is not about being all in or all out—it is about becoming. Line upon line, step by step, we grow into who the Savior knows we can be. Through the deeply relatable story of Peter the Apostle, we see what it looks like to love Jesus Christ, make mistakes, and still be called, trusted, and transformed. Peter denied Christ—but that was not the end. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, he became bold, faithful, and powerful in his testimony. If you feel like you’ve “blown it,” this is your reminder: Jesus Christ meets you exactly where you are. He still sees your potential. He still invites you to follow Him. And He is not finished with you. Am I Too Busy To Love Like Christ?

What does it really mean to love like Jesus Christ when life feels overwhelming, busy, and inconvenient? In this AnchorPoint episode, we dive into a powerful and deeply relatable question: “Am I too busy to love like Christ?” Drawing from teachings connected to Joseph Smith and the Savior’s example, this conversation explores how true discipleship is less about checking boxes of service and more about allowing our hearts to be changed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. If you’ve ever struggled to feel joy in serving others, questioned your willingness to show up, or felt frustrated that Christlike love doesn’t come naturally—this message is for you. We talk openly about real-life moments of failure, spiritual prompting, and the quiet invitation to shift from “What do I get out of this?” to “How can I truly love this person?” Through honest stories and gospel-centered reflection, you’ll see how the Lord works with willing hearts, not perfect ones. This episode will help you understand how to access the power of Jesus Christ to soften your heart, increase your capacity to love, and align your priorities with eternal truth—even in the middle of everyday life.
