Ancient Heroes

Dives deep into ancient history. Not the usual history 101 served up by many other podcasts. I enjoy the unique authors that have researched their subjects beyond simple facts. Like I said, deep. Well spoken, completely professional production. Best part is learning so much about our favorite subject. That’s exciting!

It’s like listening to a high-school wrestler stammer and pontificate about things he doesn’t understand that he doesn’t understand.

I love this podcast! It’s so interesting and Patrick is well spoken and goes out of his way to have all the facts.

The host does an admirable job of presenting a wide range of authors and experts on various areas of ancient history. Further, no ideology is included. Just a discussion of ancient history. Unfortunately, the host asks rambling, run on questions (inevitably including “you know,“ and “I guess”) which are unprofessional and distracting. The podcast would be far better if concise, insightful questions were asked which would prompt more thoughtful responses from the interviewees.
