Advantages and Disadvantages of geotherm energy

Greetings! My fellow listener I am Angel Flores, Grade 9 Spa Celerio From Mariano Marcos Memorial High School And so of our subject today is science. What is our topic today? Its about ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY. First of all, before we go to our main topic. How do geothermals work? Well base on what is said of by the Canadian valley electric cooperative, geothermal heating and cooling system absorb heat stored in the ground through the water that circulates in its underground loop during winter. But how do they work like that? I read some articles about us APA it said that when the water reaches the surfaces, the pressure is dropped, which causes the water to turn into steam. The steam spins a turbine, which is connected to a generator that produces electricity. And thats how geothermal works Lets now talk about our main topic. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the geothermal energy, first let us discuss about the advantages 1.) Geothermal energy is more environmentally friendly than conventional fuel sources such as coal and other fossil fuels. 2.) Geothermal energy is a source of renewable energy that will last until the Earth is destroyed by the sun in around 5 billion years. The hot reservoirs within the Earth are naturally replenished, making it both renewable and sustainable. 3.) Geothermal provides a reliable source of energy as compared to other renewable resources such as wind and solar power. This is because the resource is always available to be tapped into, unlike with wind or solar energy. Lets now move on to the disadvantages 1.) The largest single disadvantage of geothermal energy is that it is location specific. Geothermal plants need to be built in places where the energy is accessible, which means that some areas are not able to exploit this resource. 2.) Although geothermal energy does not typically release greenhouse gases, there are many of these gases stored under the Earth’s surface which are released into the atmosphere during digging. 3.) Geothermal energy also runs the risk of triggering earthquakes. This is due to alterations in the Earth’s structure as a result of digging. And that’s the advantages and disadvantages of geothermal energy and special thanks to twi-global for giving us a knowledge today So that is the end of our podcast today and also remember the importance of geothermal energy that it is the power source that produce electricity with minimal environmental. How do we take care of our geothermal energy? Its simple when you have a device or any electrical devices in your home that is always on but no one was using it just go near to that thing and plug it off so that we can take care of our geothermal energy. And thats all for today and i hope you learn something to me and i would gladly appreciate that. Thats all goodbyeeee..
