Much loved!
My 5-yr-old is obsessed and has lots of questions that are fun to answer!
Too grown up for younger kids
The person reading the stories sounds young, and mostly the stories are benign “ghost stories”. But, there are odd choices that are simply too grown-up for younger kids (age 6). Having a child read, but having a grown woman shriek at the top of her lungs as a sound effect (honestly a jump scare in a kids story!) is not appropriate. Describing characters as “covered in blood” is not appropriate for children. So sorry we were duped into continuing this. The first few stories were about simple things like wizards turning a kid into a frog. We didn’t know it would get so intense with multiple stories of bloodshed and murder. I’m not exaggerating. Avoid if your kids haven’t been exposed to violent imagery.
Our favorite part of bedtime
My kids love Angies spooky stories! They always ask for more. She adds just the right amount of spookiness and they love the creepy sound effects and music.
