    freedomGIVER - Chapter 2

Chapter 2: The Chains That Bind You | freedomGIVER What keeps us from living in the freedom Jesus has already given us? In Chapter 2, The Chains That Bind You, Anna takes us into the bigger story of Scripture, from Eden to Eternity, to help us understand how brokenness entered our world and why we still feel its effects today. Even though we belong to Christ, we can find ourselves living as though old chains still have power over us. Through stories, Scripture, and reflection, we’ll begin identifying some of the chains that weigh us down and the beliefs beneath them. We’ll also look at the things we reach for to give us what only God can provide, and discover the grace that continues to meet us there. The chains may be real, but they are not our master. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. Episode 22, Jane Harris - Connecting With God

"Meditation" — Every time I hear my Mama, Jane Harris, say that word it makes me want to know more about what she means by this. I've gathered my questions and we sat down to have a conversation about meditation and its impact on how we spend time with God. Incidentally, this is her birthday weekend and her life's Scripture is Psalm 27:4, "One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple." I hope you will be as encouraged as I am after listening to this. I'd love to let you know when my children's book, You Can See Him, Little Eyes Looking at a Big God, is available. The scriptures we mention: Psalm 27:4 (NASB) "One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple." Psalm 1:2,3 (ESV) ...but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Isaiah 26:3 (ESV) You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Romans 10:17 (NKJ) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Psalm 119:165 (NIV) Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Episode 21 - May Your Soul Feel Worthy This Christmas

I'm really excited to share this Christmas Message with you—it's all about the incredible depth of the heartfelt message from God to us through His Son, Jesus. As I speak about Jesus being the ultimate representation of God's love, forgiveness, and hope, it's truly impactful to realize these teachings don't just apply in our darkest moments but also in our everyday lives. Just like those timeless Christmas carols that touch our hearts, reminding us of our value and the promise of peace, these truths resonate deeply with the warmth and hope of the season...that is Jesus, our Savior. HERE is the copy of Christmas in the book of Hebrews that I mentioned. Please print it out and be encouraged reading more about Jesus being the ultimate connection between God and people. Bible Verses in today's Christmas message: John 1:1-5 Hebrews 1:3 Personal Processing Questions: How can you actively seek and recognize Jesus' heartfelt messages of love, forgiveness, and hope in your daily life? Seek to remember that Jesus embodies God's ultimate message to you. In what ways can you draw strength and guidance from Jesus' teachings during challenging times, allowing his message of light in darkness to impact your thoughts and actions? Reflecting on the promise of peace and reconciliation highlighted in Christmas carols, how can you contribute to fostering peace and extending forgiveness in your relationships and communities this holiday season? P.S. A couple of years ago my dear friend Katy Shelton and I wrote an Advent Devotional called Christmas Matters. You can go HERE to order it. 🎄Please email me with any personal ways God is speaking to you this Christmas! annahnash@gmail.com
