Not only is she an International Bestseller, several books by Carmel Harrington have also been shortlisted for an Irish Book Award. She is a regular on Irish TV screens and radio and has been a guest speaker at Literary events in Ireland, UK and USA. She was also Chair of Wexford Literary Festival for three years. Plus, she has a writing schedule to be very jealous of! It's no wonder she is so successful.
A storyteller with heart and emotion, Carmel's trademark is writing domestic dramas about life's dark and light sides, with relatable characters and twisting plots. This chapter sees Claire and Rebecca sit down with fellow Corkonian and indie bookshop owner Fiona from Leaf and Bower.
In their first in-person interview, Claire and Rebecca found a special kind of magic in this, where the tea is flowing, laughs are had, and so many books are discussed. The insight into the background of owning a bookshop is so interesting, and Fiona's recommendations are fantastic.
