Should the Speaker of Parliament even have a military guard? Is that not something that the Ghana police service can do?

    Is it democratic to train journalists at a chief's palace, where democracy isn't the strongest factor?

    Kojo Mensah talks about the recent scholarship given to 250 journalists to be trained on journalism.  The scholarship was launched by Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, and the first of the forums was held at the Manhyia Palace.  Symbolically, does it make sense to hold a training forum for a group that is supposed to uphold democracy on the premises of an institution that is not known to support democracy?

    COP26: After 26 Climate Change conferences, what have we achieved?

    Kojo Mensah takes a look at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which is popularly known as COP, with the last conference named COP26.     Welcome to the first episode of Another Perspective.  Kojo Mensah takes a look at the eighth parliament in Ghana's fourth republic.  The parliament, on the night it was inaugurated, broke into a fight over the election of its speaker. Interestingly, to end its first year, the MPs fought, once again, over the government's proposed electronic transactions levy.  Do the politicians really care about Ghanaians? Do the MPs really know their mandate?
