Another Way with Dani

Dani O'Brien Buckley

Hi, I'm Dani! I love people and I love talking about the human experience. I'm a seeker and a connector. From a very young age I've believed in the power of discourse and critical thinking - and that "because this is how we've always done it" is not a valid reason to keep doing things a certain way.  In every episode I sit down with a different guest (or guests) and dive into how they are challenging the status quo and choosing unconventional paths in life. Together, we explore their insights, experiences, and stories around specific themes. The mission is to open our hearts and minds so we can consciously explore ways to live more authentically, intentionally, and on purpose. And hopefully break through outdated paradigms despite what we've been told or taught.

ADHD: Not Broken, Just Different - Sebastian Clarke

The week before my 40th birthday this year I was diagnosed with ADHD and it's completely turned my world upside down (and right side up??) So, of course, I wanted to do an episode about ADHD... pronto!  Sebastian Clarke, Intimacy Coach and Educator with TurnON.love, was the perfect guest to dive into so many of the neurodivergent topics I've been obsessing over lately. In this episode we really focus on ADHD and relationships including questions like: How does having ADHD impact our relationships? What are some common challenges we might face? How can ADHD show up in our sex lives? How to talk to someone that you think might have ADHD and may not know it? What are some tips for ADHD folks to navigate relating in a neurotypical world? Are my fidget toys loud enough to be heard on this podcast? ;) Plus, a whole lot more. Seb and I both share some personal stories as we traverse the vulnerable complexities of being neurodivergent ourselves and wanting to talk about all the things! Maintaining a Mindset of Abundance Despite All Odds: Mikhail Wolf Shearman

In 2022 at the age of 33 years old, Mikhail Wolf Shearman was in a life-changing motorcycle accident, that eventually led to the amputation of his entire right arm and chronic nerve damage and pain that he continues to deal with to this day. His life was turned upside down but he's chosen a path of abundance and living life to the fullest.  In this episode we get into not only the details of this accident and how it has impacted him and his outlook on life, but we also dive into his life story and the many ways he's turned tragedy and trauma into opportunity and healing. This includes topics ranging from drug use both medicinally and recreationally, death of a parent (as a teenager), navigating grief, addiction, and so much more!  Wolf has one of the most contagious and inspiring outlooks on life that I've encountered and it was a true pleasure having this conversation with him - especially the many (many!) similarities we found along the way in our life journeys and experiences.  Connect with and learn more about Wolf: Wolf on InstagramThe Photon Collective Podcast on SpotifyThe Photon Collective Podcast on Instagram Other resources mentioned in the episode: The 3 Books Wolf Recommends:The Four AgreementsThe Seven Spiritual Laws of Success The Power of NowBook Dani Mentions: The Body Keeps Score  Stay up to date on latest news and episodes from Another Way: IG: @another_way_with_Dani Another Way Website Learn more about, contact, or work with the host, Dani O'Brien Buckley: On her website: DaniOBrienBuckley.com Dani's Coaching Services IG: @daniobuckley Dani's Way Substack for Personal Essays, Insights, and Opinions
