    #8: Just follow your passion?

    After episode #7 with Ingo Rauth, I was going through some old papers and found a drawing of me recording a podcast while skateboarding at night. I made this drawing about 2 years ago as a Design Your Life exercise to spark new ideas how to work with my interests and passions. In the media, we often hear the phrase "just follow your passion" - however, the vast majority of people doesn't have one identifiable passion that is stronger than everything else, but rather a mix of interests and hobbys. In this 10 min episode, I describe a short exercise that anyone can do at home to create some new ideas about how to live your life and break out of old habits of thinking. She discovered that it would be nice to have more female role models, so she co-founded her own organization “Ladies Who Tech” which focuses on sharing the voices of women in the STEM field and motivating more woman and girls to enter STEM. We talk about how Charlene and her co-founder build up the volunteer organization and grew it into a company with events & chapters in different cities in China and a yearly convention that attracts over 2.000 participants.
