I like these guys

I found All Things Considered while I was in the later chapters of the Two Towers, which was very close in sync with where Charlie and Pip were. Such a great find: they’re insightful without being smarmy or too showy. It is particularly great revisiting previous chapters to refresh my memory of the reading. And I love that they do periodic Tolkien pilgrimages. I gotta say though, that could go a tad farther into the text. I say this having just listened to the episode with Becky Straple and the great conversation about Eowyn. So excellent! I think Becky brought out a little more insight from our hosts. It may be worth having another guest, guys. Thank you!

Thoughtful and surprising with nuanced takes

I really enjoy listening to Charlie and Pip talk about the books. They bring their own perspectives from travelling and studying literature to give nuanced takes that peel back the mystery of the books to show the heart underneath. They seem to surprise each other with analyses and favorite lines that highlight the different ways that LOTR speaks to its readers. This podcast is making me want to reread the books!

#1 Tolkien podcast!!!!!!!!!

Excellent podcast. I still can't believe that there are no good LOTR podcasts besides this one. Pip and Charlie give intelligent, insightful, and oftentimes humorous look at the Lord of the Rings books chapter by chapter. It differs from other LOTR podcasts since they don't talk for hours about one chapter. I could listen all day but I just don't have time. All rings considered is a great podcast and I love listening every week. Good job Charlie and Pip!
