Reflection Collage: Capricorn Full Moon

From JULY 2022-released on my patreon (https://www.patreon.com/zesty_bodimind_slime) I listen to a handful of astrology interpretations. Sometimes I take notes on what I’m hearing to help lock the possibilities and forecast in my mind. This sound collage is a combination of reading my notes (recorded on audacity) from the Capricorn full moon interpretations, archived field recordings, and tracks from a recently inherited cd collection woven together on traktor. For me what’s helpful about astrology, numerology, tarot, poetry, etc is that the words illuminate emotions in my bodimind and gives me an opportunity to reflect on them, utilize them to make decisions, and or give them space to exist. Most reflections and interpretations have a specific ethereal vibe. I wanted this collage to have a more realistic, roller coaster, chaotic feeling to give the listener’s bodimind a real exercise. Hey all fellow Beings! This episode is an offering to you that stands in opposition of the toxic and fearfilling messaging we’ve received about our bodies from health / beauty / fitness industries, mainstream media and the systems of power exploiting our weaknesses and fears. Leaks only cause problems when its raining...

What is it? ///Episode description: Under33 is literally a recording from under highway 33 near the hocking river and maybe on Adena, Hopewell, Shawandasse Tula (Shawanwaki/Shawnee), and Wazhazhe Maⁿzhaⁿ (Osage) land. I was boondocking there and very alone because the ORV and mountain bike season hadn’t opened up yet. Mashstraightupontopoftheworld was recorded using my traktor controller and software while house sitting in phoenix, Az. My best pal Joe and I had split up that week, and I made a bunch of these mashups with a lot of passionate exploding energy. BCR 60Hz is another clip from Berlin community radio’s show 60Hz. I’m drawn to the part talking about the difference between our daytime and night time selves and behavior. Readysetgo was created using iMaschine app. I used the sample pads for a different song and was mostly just having fun / using them to emote my current feels that day.I get a lot of satisfaction out of pushing or turning a button or knob that makes or changes sounds. KendrickHUMBLE also recorded using Traktor... I recorded a handful of tracks slower or faster and messing with the key lock as well. I enjoy the lyrics “bitch be humble, bitch sit down” very much. Slotrain was recoded on my current iPhone from my van parked in one of my favorite killumbus spots. Wesmardigrassqueermash is a sound pile up! Recordings taken from IG stories from Mardi gras 2020 crossed with another mash up I made in phoenix, Az crossed again with recent water sounds recorded of the Hocking river. They were all mashed up in Audacity. Birdie in Tuttle park is exactly that! Near the Olentangy river maybe on Hopewell and Miami land. DVE-djPlead_Body&Soul-LaBouche_HATESHOPPING-LSDXOXO is a mash up i made and recorded during a live set in killumbus, oh. It was a Sagittarius showcase. The full mix is on my mixcloud channel. Smashoverlappingdiscombobulation + freedom inergy is another sound pile up made on audacity. It is mostly a mix i made called overlapping discombobulating layered with more sounds from ig archive stories. Double Duchess is the artist of the “b******t” track. Softball and Tpain is a voice memo record of walking past some people playing softball and jamming out in Tuttle park. I have fond memories of softball and its sounds. Leaves vibrating is a voice memo of leaves vibrating in the wind! Recorded recently in 2021 in the same area of the under 33 recording. The land has pipelines all through it. LIz and Me photobooth 1 is a recording i dug up off my external hard drive! It’s of my and my pal Liz ... she’d just gotten her one apt and I got my first Mac ... I was recording us hanging out mostly.. later I combined the clips into a funny emotional iMovie and gifted it to Liz. We were both in our early 20’s living in Lexington, ky. The next segment attic session cut is another recording dug up from the external hard drive from when I was living in an attic space of a giant house, and there was instruments and jam sessions in my room a lot that spring/summer. This one is a combo of Joshua, Aulona, Jacob, and myself jamming. That was the last spring I lived there, and ended up being the one that I held nostalgia for ... for a very long time after. Dads celebration AD is from 4.5.21 in gallonofpiss, ohio where I grew up with my mom, and two brothers... we were sitting by the closed pool and fire pit fire and the night chippers were so loud that we couldn’t hear eachother talk unless we were yelling lol. Birdsong ballad + dog barks was recorded on an iPhone that I have and use as my current phone. My Mom bought it from the apple store for my Dad who was failing the battle with cancer. He’d previously resisted having a smart phone, but as he neared his end, he decided he wanted one. He also hopped on facebook. The birdsong ballad sounds were captured from the backyard of the house I grew up in. Those trees were there for it all. While I was recording it into this podcast, Honey (my dog) perked up and added the barks. Treeface was also captured on the same phone in voice memo while listening to a npr classical music show, and staring out the window at a tree that seemed to be starring back. Interrupting role play was recorded on an older iPhone using voice memo. It was my friend Ri and I making recordings for performance that I don’t think ever happened. Well I didn’t perform at least. It was in that practice that I realized that I don’t / haven’t experienced life as a femme person. Sure, I grew up a girl, but have always been more on the masc side, but it wasn’t till then that I realized i cn perform in the femmescapegoat... bc i wasn’t femme. Femmes are not limited in what they can be as a sidenote. Signature smell was made using the app iMaschine. I made it using the older iPhone .. I actually performed this song live, thanks to a pal Hamadi who co-organized Blvck Ice. I asked an old roommates to video it on an older digital camera that died before the performance even started bc he was taking random pics with it beforehand haha. I love body smells. Sex toys was recorded on a digital voice recorder that an ex / friend Cassie got for me. I was reading something I wrote in response to someone (dont remember who now) being disappointed in me. Larose full moon in libra was recorded on my current iPhone in 2020 while I was in Larose, Louisiana trying to hide from the coronavirus. The late night creatures get loud down south. I love them so much. Full bodimind workout instrumental was created using the GarageBand app on my current phone. It was also recorded while in Larose hiding from covid. I was attempting to restart my personal movement training trade, and was also trying to allow the trade to incorporate my other interests and talents by making audio guided movement experiences. The two I made are still up on a soundcloud channel. Fuq-the-rat-race is the beginning of a mix I recorded on on mixlr (maybe?). It was recorded on a website that hosts free live broadcasts..I didn’t have it all figured out yet is the reason for the echo in the beginning. A feature I loved, was that I could play audio from YouTube videos, and the one in the beginning talking about freight trains is mia now.. i cant find it. The background music is from abide serene who was take pills die or planet awesum at the time.. and the words were from posts on his blog. I used the highlight and read feature from my computer to get the computer voice audio in it. I made it during the time I was learning about the “water” I lived in. Aka capitalism, all the phobias and oppression and privilege. Finally, the last recording is from my favorite internet radio station (rip) Berlin community radio .. the show 60Hz. I recorded it because I feared I wouldn’t be able to find it archived on the internet later, and it was also discussing capitalism and humans as wages slaves to the state and corporations. Berlin Community radio was a huge source of inspiration to me. I felt validated, seen, and inspired by the station’s programs. There’s more to all t
