Love it!
I just binged the back catalog and am now anxiously awaiting the next episode. The topics are interesting and if you love cultural history and art history, you’ll love the topics, too. The guests offer a unique perspective on the various topic. The host, Ferren Gipson, is wonderfully curious and able to move the interviews forward gracefully.) I also love that episodes are 20-30 minutes because I personally can not handle long podcasts- my attention always falters.) Definitely give this one a listen - fascinating and fun!
Psychoanalysing Art
Love this podcast. Was disappointed to hear the woman of surrealist art skimmed over. They were all lumped together before Leonora Carrington was briefly mentioned then quickly tied to Max Ernst. From there the profiles and stories of male artists were delved back into. Leonora preferred to be an artist not a woman artist. Please, I’m well past the point where I find this type of historical portrayal acceptable, and thank you.
Love!
Love this podcast. Offers short deep dives into art topics, especially useful for the art lover who is not always informed about the background.
