Kung Flu got ya down? What about the China Virus? Just when we thought we could live our lives and mind our own business, pandemic race baiting has singled Asians out as the scapegoat du jour. I discuss this issue with Dr. Grace Chen, a psychologist, along with the Model Minority myth, balancing life between two cultures, the resistance to getting mental health help, and specific issues that confront Asian American women.

shedding light on more unique perspectives

i happen to know Angie personally and know what a bright person she is with a deep love of film and writing. so happy to see she’s created this podcast! the title of this pod is funny, as we all know the stereotypes like asians being good at math (pretty much all the asians i know are tho, lol) but like any culture, it’s made up of individuals that have a kaleidoscope of unique talents and visions. authentic asian stories aren’t told often enough in the American pop culture mainstream. i look forward to hearing more of those stories from ppl who’s parents may be forever disappointed but are out enriching the world with their awesome creativity anyway.
