  2. S4 E4: Ghosts, Anxiety, and Coming Full Circle with Taylor Hutti Macrae

    10/08/2025

S4 E4: Ghosts, Anxiety, and Coming Full Circle with Taylor Hutti Macrae

Amberleigh sits down with Taylor Hutti Macrae, influencer and long-time high school friend, where they discuss ghosts, anxiety, and coming full circle! Amberleigh and Taylor go down memory lane, remembering the high points of classes and concerts together throughout high school, as well as the low points of Hurricane Katrina and anxiety, where Amberleigh touches on things that help. Taylor talks about her experiences after college graduation, working in NYC fashion, with the 'Devil Wears Prada'-like long days of working at designer brand fashion houses and unexpectedly meeting her future husband, model and actor, Logan Macrae (best known for his role in the movie, "Where The Crawdads Sing"). Amberleigh points out the differences in moving away and coming back home, and the gratitude that comes with that experience. They both then deep dive into metaphysical concepts: ghosts, hauntings, death and the afterlife, out-of-body experiences, lucid dreaming, and even personal experiences of seeing apparitions, staying at The Myrtles Plantation, and interacting with deceased family members. Taylor also shares her discovery of what was at the root of her debilitating anxiety (hint: vitamin deficiency!), her obsession with Halloween and Casper (haha), and her semi-recent launch of being a social media influencer, proving that it's never too late to start something new, in spite of the mental struggles and fear that can surround us during those instances. Amberleigh showcases that Taylor's quick success is due to her raw, authentic, and unique approach...something that can be a key in any new endeavor. If you've ever felt haunted by your past, unsure about your path, or drawn to the mystical and mysterious, this episode will meet you where you are — with laughter, insight, and a gentle reminder that it's never too late to come full circle. 3. S4 E3: "Escaping Addiction" with Psychotherapist & Author (Free Fall), Bradley Thomas Smith

    08/29/2025

S4 E3: "Escaping Addiction" with Psychotherapist & Author (Free Fall), Bradley Thomas Smith

Amberleigh dives deeper into her Feature Story of the Summer 2025 Issue of MANiCURE. Magazine, psychotherapist and author, Bradley Thomas Smith. Bradley is the author of FREE FALL, Two Decades of Rock 'n' Roll and Addiction, which is an extraordinary account of escaping addiction. FREE FALL is a true-life memoir about how Bradley turned to alcohol as a 9-year-old boy at his mother's funeral and, from there, experienced a life of foster care, adoption, emancipation, homelessness, addiction, a 20 year journey of seeking out alcohol and music to soothe his pain. Bradley eloquently explains his experience of feeling abandoned by his mother, blaming himself, and believing he was unlovable. With that belief came behaviors of isolation as an attempt to save others from seeing his brokenness, and ways to avoid judgment of others so he wouldn't need to disconnect and soothe himself from things that would provoke him. Amberleigh and Bradley go into the 5 reasons for addiction: to soothe, to connect, to compensate, to detach, and/or to punish. They also discuss self-deception in late stage addiction and how the value system gets mixed up, blurring the cues of safety, comfort, and cravings. Take a listen to hear a VERY unique and personal perspective of addiction: the idea that addiction is more of a disorder than a disease, the stigmas surrounding it, and even the significant predictors of addiction, and how, in spite of transgenerational trauma, genetics, mental illness, negative childhood experiences, or economic insecurity, courage, authenticity, and self love...and a little bit of music...can help guide you home. S3 E7 How to Move Beyond Fear and Live Your Potential x Claire Dugas

Amberleigh travels to Nashville, TN to sit down with her long-time client and friend, Claire Dugas, who just recently stepped out of fear and into living her potential by opening 913 boutique, a long-time dream of hers that always felt somewhat out of reach. With Amberleigh's help and encouragement, and Claire's unrelenting hard work, she was able to achieve her dream...but the path certainly was not linear or easy! As for many, it was touch and go for years: repeating patterns, feeling stuck, making lateral moves, and feeling like you're moving 10 steps back...but, ultimately, making progress every day. Claire is a wonderful testament of someone doing the work...circling the drain at times during her journey of trying to find happiness and joy in her life, and working with her health and relationships along the way. Both Amberleigh and Claire discuss what it's like to be business owners in industries that are said to be dead or dying, and how to persevere against all odds and criticisms. They talk about the trials of navigating being sensitive people-pleasers and that persevering anyway is a task that can be daunting at times. Topics discussed include: safety, fear, perfectionism, criticism, suppression, health issues associated with self denial, just taking a step, finding joy again, leaning into your community for support and building confidence, how to make new friends when stepping into the unknown, how to tell the difference between noise and feedback, repeating patterns and how to get out of them, following your heart, disrupting your industry, staying small to stay safe, secrets to living beyond 100, how to correct inverted breathing patterns and calm the nervous system, and that success is found in the subtleties, that failure isn't so bad, gratitude is the gateway to joy, and happiness comes when you're living your truth. Have a listen to get inspired and not feel alone on your path of feeling lost, stuck, fearful, or like you haven't made any progress....when all the while, every setback is actually a step forward towards living your potential and achieving your dreams. 7. S3 E6: THE HEALTHIEST THING IS THE UNHEALTHIEST THING (w/ my brother, Clay Carter)

    04/19/2025

S3 E6: THE HEALTHIEST THING IS THE UNHEALTHIEST THING (w/ my brother, Clay Carter)

The episode that was never supposed to air! This episode was originally intended to be a "practice run" for another project...but turned out to be too good to keep quiet, which is why the audio is not as clear and it abruptly cuts off at the end (haha). But, it might serve as a thought-provoking and entertaining discussion to hear. Amberleigh sits down with her half-brother, Clay, in Rosemary Beach, FL, to discuss his view on health. His answers unveil something unexpected...that the healthiest thing...is the unhealthiest thing and that health can be found in the most surprising ways. She asks him a series of questions surrounding health and his answers kept going back to similar themes: presence, contentment, and mindset. Other things that came into focus were community, letting go, nature, and going back to the basic, simple things. But, most importantly, the healthiest person he knows...is really mean! Amberleigh touches on the importance of relics, destinations, people, and their energies that can serve as a touchstone for health, and that Clay is proving her theory: that health is not always found in the biohacking and intense focus on "getting healthy"...that health is something within that we can access in simple ways. And that sometimes, the healthiest thing is the unhealthiest thing! *Read the article that goes much more in depth about this topic under "The Ask Amberleigh Show" in MANiCURE., Amberleigh's printed health and lifestyle publication, in the Spring 2025 Issue.
