    S3 Episode 2: Sister Bliss

    For the 2nd episode of Season 3, Matt and Lucy are joined by the only and only Sister Bliss to discuss her career with chart topping band Faithless, her work as a music producer and international DJ and her new role as a lecturer and mentor at Tileyard Education.

    Sister Bliss has been at the forefront of the music scene since joining forces with fellow Faithless member Rollo in 1993, before the official formation of the group two years later with Maxi Jazz. The band have released 7 albums, including two number ones, and six top 10 singles. They went on to sell over 15 million records internationally and produce chart topping hits such as God is a DJ, We Come 1 and the incomparable Insomnia, with Bliss establishing herself as one of the world’s premier electronic music producers. This status has been maintained through her solo production work, which has also seen her create music for film, television and theatre projects.

    Most recently she collaborated on the gorgeous album The Last Summer, the first of a planned series of albums by Rollo under the moniker R Plus and featuring his sister Dido on vocals.

    His wealth of knowledge and contacts and artist friendly approach has served him well with associations to many multi platinum selling artists including REM, The Police, Duran Duran, Black Sabbath,Sting, Jools Holland, Belinda Carlisle, Zucherro and many more.

    In the episode Steve talks about his career, offers advice on working at and approaching a record label and shares some fantastic anecdotes from his illustrious career.

    For this episode Matt and Lucy are joined by singer/songwriter and YouTube sensation, Hannah Trigwell.

    Having garnered over 120 million YouTube views, numerous top ten international singles, including two number one singles in Laos and Vietnam and more than 600,000 total followers online, her journey is a unique one.

    Hannah began her career busking on the streets of her hometown Leeds before uploading her music onto YouTube. During her studies at the University of Leeds, Hannah released two EPs of original music, and toured the UK and Europe three times. During the same year as achieving a Biology Honours degree, Hannah also won ‘Best Unsigned Artist’ in the Online Music Awards before setting off on a 5-week European tour.

    Hannah has performed in front of sold-out crowds alongside Jess Glynne, Jake Bugg, Boyce Avenue and many more. Her growing celebrity fanbase includes Louis Tomlinson and Ed Sheeran.
