    3. The walkthrough was redone in 1977 to make the dioramas look more like the popular windows on Main Street.  This installation closed in 2001 and reopened seven years later with the experience going under a major refurbishment.  The  dioramas to their original style with added projection effects.  This new version opened November 27, 2008.
    4. For guests who are unable to climb the stairs of the attraction, there is a virtual experience on the ground level near the attraction’s exit.

    133 - Kilimanjaro Safaris - Disney's Animal Kingdom - Attraction Checklist

http://www.attractionchecklist.com  It’s time to head out on our own real life safari adventure as we visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris on this episode of Attraction Checklist.  Attraction audio recorded on October 27, 2016.
    TRANSCRIPT:
    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.
This episode we venture to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to ride the ever popular, Kilimanjaro Safaris.  The Animal Kingdom guide map describes this attraction saying, “Take a safari ride through the lush African savannah to search for lions, elephants, giraffes and more.”
There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and the Thrill Level describes it as a Slow Ride.
Before we board our jeep, here are five fast facts about Kilimanjaro Safaris.
    1.  Kilimanjaro Safaris opened with Animal Kingdom on April 22, 1998.
    2. For many years the ride featured a scripted storyline about poachers hunting a mother and baby elephant.  In early cast previews, an animatronic of the slaughtered mother elephant was visible at the end of the attraction to drive home how harmful poachers are.  This animatronic was removed before the park opened as the scene received many complaints.
    3. The ride features close to thirty different species of animals, including crocodiles, warthogs, flamingos, giraffes and lions.
    4. The flamingo island seen during the attraction is a giant hidden Mickey.
    5. Between each of the animal’s ecosystems are chains and bars that prevent the animals from venturing between sections.
Now let’s go ride Kilimanjaro Safaris.  Joining me today is my friend Eve Cunning and after we ride we’ll give you our thoughts not his attraction.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we ride Kilimanjaro Safaris and Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln - Disneyland

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln - Disneyland

    http://www.attractionchecklist.com -
It’s time to hear some words of inspiration as we head to Disneyland to watch Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln on this episode of Attraction Checklist.
Attraction audio recorded on March 8, 2022.
    TRANSCRIPT:
    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.
This episode we visit Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland to watch Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
The Disneyland Resort website describes this attraction saying: Revel in the stirring oratory of Abraham Lincoln—delivered in person—and explore rare Disneyland memorabilia.
There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and the thrill level describes this attraction as being Dark.
Before we blast off, here are five fast facts about Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
    1. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln has its origins in the 1964 New York World’s Fair where the show was the prime feature of the State of Illinois Pavilion.  A year later the show debuted at Disneyland on July 18, 1965.  Over there years there have been some show tweaks and name changes and now Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is an element of the broader Disney Attraction The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln which debuted on December 18, 2009.
    2. As you’ll hear in the pre-show, Lincoln is voiced by actor Royal Dano. The recording in the current version of the show includes portions of the original World’s Fair version of the show but made from, then, newly discovered recordings of Dano’s performance.
    3.  The model of the Capitol Building in the lobby of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln took 3 years to carve from stone.
    4. The present day version of this attraction shares some similarities with Epcot’s American Adventure.  Not only are the songs Two Brothers and Golden Dream featured in the show, the 12 Spirits of America featured in The American Adventure can bee seen in the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln lobby area.
    5. While the Lincoln audio-animatronic has always been state of the art, in 2009 it made the jump from hydraulics to electronic giving it more of a range of motion.
Let’s head to the lobby to catch the pre-show.  After the show, I’ll give you my thoughts on this attraction.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we watch Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland.

    130 - Astro Orbiter - Disneyland - Attraction Checklist

http://www.attractionchecklist.com - Let’s pilot a rocket ship at the entrance to Tomorrowland at Disneyland park! We ride the Astro Orbiter on this episode of Attraction Checklist.  Attraction audio recorded on May 18, 2021. TRANSCRIPT:
This episode finds us in Tomorrowland at Disneyland to ride the Astro Orbiter.
The Disneyland Resort website describes this attraction saying: Pilot your very own rocket ship high in the sky amid a gleaming constellation of orbiting planets.
There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and the thrill level describes this attraction as a Spinning ride.
Before we blast off, here are five fast facts about Disneyland’s Astro Orbiter!
    1. Disneyland has had some form of the Astro Orbiter since 1956.  The original attraction was known as the Astro Jets.  In 1964 it was renamed the Tomorrowland Jets.  That version closed in 1966 and returned a year later as The Rocket Jets, located high above Tomorrowland.  The Rocket Jets closed in 1997 and the current version, the Astro Orbiter found its home at the front entrance of Tomorrowland on May 22, 1998.
    2. When the attraction changed its name in 1964, it was because the ride’s sponsor, United Airlines, complaining that the name Astro Jets was free advertising for American Airlines’ Astrojet flight service.
    3.  The Astro Orbiter features 12 rockethsips that hold two riders per vehicle.
    4. Astro Orbiter rockets travel at a speed of 11 rotations per minute and travel an average of 1.2 Million Miles per year.
    5. A ride on the Astro Orbiter lasts a brief one minute and thirty seconds.
Let’s take a ride on the Astro Orbiter.  After we ride I’ll give you my thoughts on this attraction.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we ride Astro Orbiter at Disneyland.

    Tomorrowland Speedway - Magic Kingdom

    Tomorrowland Speedway - Magic Kingdom

http://www.attractionchecklist.com -  Start your engines! It's time to race around the Tomorrowland Speedway at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.  Attraction audio recorded on October 29, 2016.
    TRANSCRIPT:
    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.
Strap in! We’re headed to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to ride the Tomorrowland Speedway!
The Magic Kingdom guide map describes the attraction saying: Take a ride in your very own hot rod.
Guests must be 32” (or 81 cm) tall in order to ride but guests must be 54” (or 137) to drive their own car.  Those under 54” must be accompanied by someone who is 54” tall.  There is no thrill level listed for this ride but I’d say it’s pretty loud.  And at times bumpy.
Here now are five fast facts about Tomorrowland Speedway.
    1.  Tomorrowland Speedway is an opening day attraction, opening with Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971
    2. When the attraction originally opened it was called the Grand Prix Raceway.  In 1994, it was renamed the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway and in 2008, the word Indy was dropped and it became the Tomorrowland Speedway.
    3. The length of the track has been shortened over the years due to construction around the ride.  When the ride was opened, the track was approximately 3,118 feet.  The track was shortened in 1974 for the construction of Space Mountain, again in 1987 to make room for Mickey’s Toontown Fair, once more in 2012 for Dumbo the Flying Elephant and most recently in 2019 for the construction of Iron Lightcyle Power Run.
    4. The attractions four lanes can accommodate up to 146 cars at once!
    5. The top speed of a Tomorrowland Speedway vehicle is a pulse pounding 7.5 Miles or 4.7km Per Hour.
Let’s race around the track on the Tomorrowland Speedway.  After we ride I’ll give you my thoughts on this attraction.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we ride the Tomorrowland Speedway at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

I AM CRAZY PERSON ,

Amazing

Thank you so much. This is amazing. I do my homework while listening to this podcast and it’s so fun. When I’m stressed, I just close my eyes and I see myself there. It’s amazing and Disney has a special place in my heart and it’s sad that I can’t go now because of COVID-19. It makes me cry sometimes when I hear the rides I have grown up to love. I’m amazed of how real it sounds in the binaural recording. I love it. Thank you “toaster boy”
