Episode 12: The Psychology of Elon Musk, Steve Jobs & Jeff Bezos - What They Have in Common

Three of the most powerful builders in modern history. One question: what do they actually have in common? Not the money. Not the luck. Not the right place at the right time. The way they think. The decisions they made. The psychology behind how they operate and why most people, given the exact same opportunities, would not have done what they did. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I break down the mindset, psychology and key decisions of Elon Musk, Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos not as a history lesson, but as a blueprint. Because I genuinely believe the way these people think is learnable. And understanding it changes how you approach your own ambitions, your own business, your own life. In this episode we explore: - the one psychological trait all three share that most people are too scared to develop - how Elon, Jobs and Bezos each thought about failure differently to everyone around them - first principles thinking: what it is and how to apply it to your own life - the role of obsession and when it becomes a superpower vs a liability - the decisions that defined each of them and what they reveal about how they think - what all three sacrificed that most people are not willing to - what you can actually take from their mindset and apply starting today New episodes every Saturday. Episode 11: Fear, Execution & the Inner War: - Inside the Mind of a Founder with Esmae Carr

What does it actually take to build something from nothing and then sell it? In this episode of Audacity & Access, I sit down with my best friend Esmae Carr founder, entrepreneur, CEO, and founder of a healthcare company she built and sold - for one of the most honest conversations I've ever had on this podcast.   We're not here to give you a highlight reel. We're here to talk about the real stuff: the fear before you start, the inner demons you fight every single day, the moments you wanted to quit, and what it actually takes to keep going when nobody is watching and nothing is working yet. Because entrepreneurship is sold to us as freedom and passion and building your dream. And it is all of those things. But it's also the hardest inner work you will ever do. And most people aren't ready for that part.   This episode is for anyone who is just starting out, in the messy middle, or trying to find the courage to begin.   In this episode we explore: - the fear that lives before you start anything and how to move through it - what execution actually looks like when motivation is gone - how to stay consistent in the quiet moments when no one sees you - why entrepreneurship is mostly an inner war — and how to win it - why you don't have to do it alone (and why asking for help is strength) - the psychotic belief you need to have that it's going to work - how working out every day became a science experiment in execution - goal setting, creating discomfort, and why you need new challenges after you win   New episodes every week. Episode 10: 5 Ways to Build Confidence (& The Psychology Behind It!)

Everyone wants confidence. But almost nobody understands what it actually is. We've been sold a version of confidence that looks like never doubting yourself, always knowing what to say, walking into every room like you own it. And because most of us don't feel that way we assume we're just not confident people. That it's something other people have and we don't. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I break down the real psychology of confidence: where it actually comes from, why the way most people try to build it completely backfires, and what genuinely confident people do differently that has nothing to do with faking it until you make it. Because confidence is not a personality trait. It is a skill. And like any skill, it can be built by anyone once you understand how it actually works. In this episode we explore: - what confidence actually is and what it is not - why affirmations and positive thinking often make insecurity worse - the neuroscience of self-belief and how your brain builds confidence - the difference between arrogance, self-esteem, and true confidence - why confident people are not fearless they just have a different relationship with fear - how social comparison destroys confidence and what to do instead - 5 evidence-based ways to genuinely build confidence from the inside out New episodes every Saturday. Episode 9: Doom Scrolling is Costing You More Than You Think - The Silent Goal Killer

We talk a lot about wanting more: more success, more money, more clarity, more momentum. But what if the thing standing between you and all of that is something you do for hours every day without even thinking about it? Doom scrolling. The silent goal-killer. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I break down what doom scrolling is actually doing to your brain, your ambition, and your ability to execute and why most people don't even realise it's the reason they feel stuck. Because the truth is, you can have all the goals in the world. But if your brain is constantly flooded with noise, comparison, negativity, and other people's lives you will never have the mental clarity or the energy to build your own. This is not about deleting your apps. This is about understanding what you're actually trading when you scroll and deciding if it's worth it. In this episode we explore: what doom scrolling actually is and why your brain is wired for itthe real neurological cost of consuming negative content dailywhy scrolling makes you feel productive when you're actually draining yourselfhow doom scrolling fuels comparison, anxiety, and decision fatiguethe link between overconsumption and creative paralysis5 practical ways to break the cycle and reclaim your focuswhy protecting your attention is the new superpower New episodes every Saturday. Episode 8: Get Out of Scarcity Mindset! Signs You Are Misaligned & People Pleasing + How To Be A Great Leader

This episode is something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently, which is the scarcity mindset. Because the thing about scarcity is that it doesn’t feel like desperation, it feels logical, it feels like you’re just being flexible, or understanding, or trying to maintain an opportunity, but when you really break it down, it slowly shifts your standards, your boundaries, and how you show up in ways that you don’t immediately notice. And I think what made me really see it is how it connects to misalignment and people pleasing, because when something is not aligned, you feel it, but instead of stepping back, you try to adjust yourself to fit into it, and that’s where people pleasing starts, not in an obvious way, but in subtle decisions like saying yes too quickly, negotiating against yourself, over-explaining, or accepting things that don’t fully sit right just to keep something going. And the more you do that, the more it affects how people treat you and how you lead, because leadership is not just about managing others, it’s about how you manage yourself, your standards, and the environment you create around you, and if those things are constantly shifting depending on the situation, then there’s no real structure or clarity. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I talk about the subtle signs of misalignment, people pleasing, and poor leadership that you might not even realize are happening, how scarcity mindset plays into all of it, and why being willing to lose something is actually what allows you to move into better aligned opportunities. Because sometimes the problem is not what’s happening, it’s how you’re responding to it, and once you start seeing that, you can’t really move the same way anymore. IN THIS EPISODE WE EXPLORE: - what scarcity mindset actually looks like in real life (not how people usually describe it)- subtle signs of misalignment that are easy to ignore- how people pleasing shows up in business decisions- why being “easy to work with” can shift your positioning- negotiating your value and self-trust- signs of poor leadership (in others and in yourself)- emotional discipline and decision making- why being willing to lose opportunities is powerful- how awareness changes the way you move New episodes weekly. Episode 7: Rejection is Protection - Trust Your Gut Feeling + Keep Going in The Quiet Boring Moments

This is something I don’t think people talk about enough, and it’s that weird feeling you get sometimes where nothing is necessarily wrong, nothing is obviously falling apart, but something just feels off in a way you can’t fully explain, and because you can’t explain it, you start questioning yourself instead of trusting it. You try to rationalize it, you try to make it make sense, you tell yourself you’re overthinking or being dramatic, and eventually you just ignore it because there’s no clear reason to act on it. But I’ve been realizing that your gut doesn’t work like that, it doesn’t wait for logic or proof or perfect timing, it just knows, and most of the time the discomfort isn’t confusion, it’s actually redirection. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I talk about what it looks like to trust that feeling even when it doesn’t make sense yet, and how difficult it actually is to keep going during those quiet phases where nothing is happening externally, nothing is confirming that you’re on the right path, and everything feels slow, unclear, and almost invisible. Because that’s the part no one really prepares you for, the part where you’re still showing up, still doing the work, still following something internal that you can’t prove to anyone else, and sometimes not even to yourself. And the truth is, trusting yourself before you have results, before you have validation, before anything has actually worked out yet, is uncomfortable in a way that most people can’t sit with, which is why they go back to what’s familiar instead of following what feels right. But if there’s one thing I’m learning, it’s that just because something doesn’t make sense right now doesn’t mean it’s wrong, and just because it’s quiet doesn’t mean nothing is happening. ✨ IN THIS EPISODE WE EXPLORE: why that “weird feeling” you keep brushing off might actually be your intuition trying to get your attentionhow to trust your gut even when there is no logical explanation or external confirmationwhy redirection almost never feels comfortable or clear in the momentthe difference between fear that’s trying to protect you and intuition that’s trying to guide youwhy your life can feel off or misaligned right before things start shiftinghow to keep going when nothing around you is validating your directionwhat the “quiet phase” really looks like when you’re building something internallyhow to trust the process without needing constant reassurance that it’s working New episodes weekly. Episode 6: 7 Ways to Protect Your Peace & Energy For Optimized Performance

This episode is not talked about enough. Protecting your energy is not just about rest, it is about discipline. Because I’ve been realizing that a lot of people are not actually tired, they are just constantly overstimulated, overexposed, and surrounded by things and people that drain them without even realizing it. We always talk about productivity, showing up, being consistent, doing more…But we don’t talk about what it actually takes to show up at your highest level. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I break down 7 ways to protect your energy, especially before important moments like meetings, interviews, or events. These are things I personally do that have completely changed how I perform and how I show up. From isolating yourself intentionally, to reducing overstimulation, to not sharing things prematurely… This is about understanding that your energy is your real currency. Because the truth is, you can be talented, prepared, and capable… but if your energy is scattered, you will not show up properly. And most of the time, it is not obvious. There is no big reason. No major burnout.Just small daily leaks that slowly affect your clarity, your mood, and your ability to execute. But the truth is, how you feel mentally and emotionally going into something determines everything. And protecting that is your responsibility. In this episode we explore: -why you feel drained even when you are not doing much- how overstimulation affects your focus and mood- why isolating yourself before important moments is powerful- the impact of overconsumption on your subconscious- why you should stop sharing things before they happen- how people around you can drain your energy without you noticing- how to prepare without overthinking or burning out New episodes every Wednesday. Episode 5: You're Not Broke, Ugly, Stuck or Unlucky - 6 Ways To CREATE Your Luck

This episode is a little bit of a reality check. You’re not unlucky. You’re just not positioning yourself properly. Because I’ve been realizing that what most people call luck is actually very predictable. Some people always seem to be in the right rooms, meeting the right people, getting invited to the right things… and it’s easy to assume they just got lucky. But nobody really talks about what’s actually behind that. We always talk about timing, connections, or being in the right place at the right time but we don’t talk about how people intentionally place themselves in those situations. In this episode of Audacity & Access, I break down 6 ways to manufacture your own luck and actually start creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. These are things I’ve personally noticed, especially in phases where everything felt like it was flowing versus moments where nothing was moving. From where you physically place yourself, to how visible you are, to how you handle your emotions when things don’t go exactly how you expected.. This is about understanding that opportunities are not random. They are the result of how you move. Because the truth is, you can have potential, ideas, and ambition… but if you’re not in the right environments, not showing up properly, or letting your emotions control your actions, nothing is going to happen. And that’s the part people don’t want to hear. Because it’s easier to say you’re unlucky than to admit that you might not be putting yourself in the right rooms, or showing up in a way that actually gets you remembered. The truth is, opportunities don’t just appear. They respond to proximity, visibility, consistency, and how you carry yourself over time. And a lot of the time, it’s not that nothing is happening for you. It’s that you’re either not seeing it, not following through, or pulling yourself out too early because of overthinking or insecurity. In this episode we explore: why “luck” is not random and how it’s actually createdthe importance of proximity and being in the right environmentshow to make yourself visible in a way that attracts opportunitieswhy consistency matters more than talent in the beginningthe role of social intelligence and how to move in the right roomshow to follow up and stay relevant without being pushyemotional discipline and why your feelings can block your progresshow to stop waiting and start positioning yourself intentionally New episodes every Wednesday.
