Audio Mullet

I understand the social media stupidity behind the dissolution of this podcast; but man, I really wish these guys were still putting out their content. The original lineup of Mike Nelson, Doug TenNapel, and Ethan Nicolle was the best. I appreciate the addition of Kyle Mann in Mike’s absence—would be phenomenal to have all four on the same show. This is just about as unique and enjoyable a Christian-centric podcast as there exists anywhere. Love these guys’ worldview and very earnest approach to what it means to be a Christian navigating our contemporary culture. Funny, sober, contemplative, lighthearted, and always authentic—these guys are well worth the listen. I mean, they’ve managed to turn me on to canned octopus and G.K. Chesterton…where else are you gonna get that?

I’ve been listening to the Mullet from the beginning, and it’s almost funny to hear how sedate Doug was back then. Mike, Doug, and Ethan were the perfect combination, and I hope that Mike can come back, if not full-time, than at least for a visit. With a Biden presidency almost inevitable at this point, podcasts like this, that proclaim the rough, unvarnished truth, will become, not only vital, but essential. Truth existed long before us, and will exist long after us. We simply have the choice to remain silent, or proclaim it. If you are looking for the latter, tune in to these gents.

I wanted to like this show. I really did. But Doug Tenapel makes it so hard to listen to. He’s such a whiny, conservative snowflake. I’m a conservative Christian and find him unbearable.
