God is in This Fight, by Ted Greenfield

Today, Roberta talks to Ted Greenfield about his new book God Is in This Fight: How God Made a Way to Rescue Human Trafficking Survivors. Human trafficking is one of today’s darkest realities. When Ted Greenfield first said yes to God’s prompting to help in the fight against human trafficking, he had no plans, no aircraft, and no experience. But through divine guidance, answered prayer, and miraculous provision, Invisible Angels was born – an air rescue ministry flying trafficking survivors to safety. Rescuing children sometimes not even ten years old and at other times rescuing thirty- or forty-year-olds in desperate situations, this gripping story reveals the evil of trafficking, the resilience of survivors, and the courage it takes to make a difference. For Ted, the journey wasn’t easy. He faced job loss, spiritual attacks, seasons of isolation – and the overwhelming weight of the mission. Yet every setback and every delay proved to be seasons of much-needed refining and training, shaping Ted into a vessel for this work, for God’s glory. God Is in This Fight is not just a memoir – it’s a testimony of obedience, redemption, and the power of God to accomplish the seemingly impossible through those who simply say yes. The Man for the Day, by Josh Smith

Today, Roberta talks to Josh Smith about his new book The Man for the Day: Answering the Call to Godly Manhood, available from B&H Books publishers. Many men sense a growing desire for a more robust spiritual life, to walk with God and to be used by Him. They long for meaning and purpose and a life that impacts eternity. They long to matter. Men are increasingly weary of a worldly culture’s constant assault on their families, their churches, and their manhood. They yearn to do something, to be God’s man, but they remain uncertain of what that something is or even how to begin. They hear the resounding higher call to be God’s man, the man for the day, and to courageously yield to be used by God however He chooses.  In The Man for the Day, J. Josh Smith walks through the life of Elijah to reveal ten qualities needed in the pursuit of a life that matters. Smith invites men to boldly lead their families, churches, and communities, to meet the needs of the day for the glory of God. We need not limp through life with the feelings of indifference and insignificance. We need not settle. Our Maker has called us to more. Smith issues the challenge to us all that during these days of increasing hardship and decay, our times need godly men, and our God wants men to be The Man for the Day.  Discover the latest Christian books and meet the authors behind them on Author's Corner, where Roberta Foster explores new releases in faith-based publishing.
