    S02E07: Amelia (Amelia Automotive)

    S02E07: Amelia (Amelia Automotive)

Hello and welcome to today's episode. This time, Alex is joined by his friend across the pond, Amelia, aka Amelia Automotive. Amelia is in the automotive marketing industry and has been a life-long petrolhead with a great car collection. Unsurprisingly, she goes for a lightly modified 2007 Range Rover Supercharged - known internally as the L322 on Cars & Bids.  Alex also goes with a JLR product - a Polaris White over Navy 2013 Jaguar XKR - the XK's final model year. Moving on, Amelia talks about her latest acquisition - a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR; a car that she has always dreamed of owning. Following this, they both talk about their passion for the Land Rover brand, specifically the Range Rover and the Defender, both new and old. As always, we wrap up with a Q&A session. Thanks for tuning in!

S02E06: Brandon Brooks (The Idiot's Podcast)

S02E06: Brandon Brooks (The Idiot's Podcast)

In this week's episode, Alex is joined by his friend Brandon Brooks, a fellow car enthusiast from Cincnnati. Brandon and his friends host The Idiot's Podcast. The Idiot's Podcast is a podcast about funny current events, random news articles and have a laugh along the way. In all, it is a great podcast hosted by great people. In Alex's opinion, it is one of his favorite forms of entertainment... just don't listen to it with your mother in the room. On Cars & Bids, Alex selects a 2013 Mini JCW GP - a limited-run track-focused Mini. It is a cool car, but also one that just does not make a ton of sense. Brooks goes for an immaculate 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL600 that screams 90's nostalgia. Following this, they talk about the new Ferrari Purosangue - a name that Alex finally learns how to pronounce correctly. They also discuss Aston Martin's plans to keep the V12 around and finish by going over just how laughable the fuel economy is on the new Oshkosh mail truck. Thanks for tuning in!

    S02E05: David Feerrar

    S02E05: David Feerrar

In today's episode, Alex is joined by his friend and fellow Land Rover enthusiast, David Feerrar. Since David doesn't have a webcam, he decided to have his profile picture be the Wikipedia picture of the Spanish tennis player, David Ferrer. On Cars & Bids, Alex chooses a 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 that is lightly optioned, but still has everything you need. David goes for a really clean 2007 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, formerly owned by VINWiki's Ed Bolian. The main topic for today is car configurators. Alex and David each went online and configured three cars. Everything went according to plan until the website of a German automaker decided to be very un-German and not work properly. As always, we end with a Q&A session. Thanks for tuning in!

S02E04: GMA T.33, the new Sequoia, Bronco Raptor, Kia EV6 and the refreshed 8 Series

S02E04: GMA T.33, the new Sequoia, Bronco Raptor, Kia EV6 and the refreshed 8 Series

Today we are trying something new - a shorter episode. Although it may be shorter, it still is not lacking in content. On Cars & Bids, Alex goes for something very unorthodox for him: a 2019 Lincoln Navigator Black Label. He explains why this is a seriously good full-size luxury SUV. Following this we talk about Gordon Murray's new T.33 - a less-expensive version of his McLaren F1-inspierd T.50. We next talk about the all-new Toyota Sequoia, which has been redesigned for the first time since 2008 and is now finally competitive in its segment. Moving on, Kia has finally released details and pricing for the US spec EV6 - a car that has received overwhelmingly good reviews. We finish up the show by discussing the all-new Ford Bronco Raptor and the LCI BMW 8 Series. Thanks for tuning in!

    S02E03: Grace Davies (@gracexautomotive)

    S02E03: Grace Davies (@gracexautomotive)

In today's episode, Alex is joined by one of his close friends, Grace Davies. Grace is a fellow car enthusiast from England, where she is the social media manager for H.R. Owen Ferrari in London. To start off, Grace chooses a mint Rosso Corsa 2005 Ferrari F430 Spider, with the all-important 6-speed gated manual. Alex chooses two cars with a very interesting connection: a 2016 Maserati GranTurismo MC also finished in Rosso Corsa (with matching red high-heels in the footwell) and a 2021 Ford Mach-E GT. Tune in to find out the connection that these two cars have. Next, Grace and Alex each choose two cars to discuss that are scheduled to debut or go on sale in 2022. Following this, they both have an important discussion on the effects that social media can have on one's mental health. Yes, it is a car podcast, but it is an important topic that needs to be discussed. As always, we end with a fun Q&A round. Big thanks to Grace for joining us on the show and thanks for tuning in!

S02E02: Discussing the new Range Rover with Emeka Ossai (Driven Hard)

S02E02: Discussing the new Range Rover with Emeka Ossai (Driven Hard)

Hello and welcome to today's episode where we are joined by Emeka Ossai, who runs the Driven Hard YouTube channel. Emeka is a Land Rover enthusiast, owning a Range Rover Sport Autobiography that he, well, drives hard. No, seriously; he DOES drive his Range Rover hard to prove that stock Land Rovers (even ones with 21" wheels) are incredibly capable without any modifications. The topic of today's episode is the all-new 2022 fifth-generation Range Rover, known internally as the L460. Despite looking similar to the outgoing L405 Range Rover, the L460 is all-new from the ground up. Based on JLR's new MLA Flex platform, the L460 is more advanced, connected, luxurious and capable than ever before. Tune in to hear Emeka and Alex's thoughts and opinions on the new Range Rover!
