Avenue Red is all about high quality house & techno music with unique character and depth. We aim to push DJ's and Artists based solely upon the quality of their output, the refinement of their taste and their dedication to the music. Commercially-driven reputation, inflated egos, "big names" and artificially-manufactured hype are of no interest to us. We know true quality shines in it's own light. We revisit music from the past and observe how it can merge with the music of today to create a better, more holistic listening experience.
Avenue Red mixes are largely focussed on DJ'ing from the surface of vinyl, however this is not an exclusive policy. Music > Format.

Avenue Red welcomes another newcomer to the series, enter Francesco Tamburrano, a deep/dub techno DJ, artist & producer from Venice, Italy. This set is a seriously infectious, hypnotic, deep & danceable session, featuring only tracks from his own studio and his stable of close musical associates.
"I'm a Venice-based producer who focuses on dub techno sounds with basslines borrowed from techno and deep house to build an electronic melting-pot: sometimes hypnotic, sometimes raw, sometimes groovy. My first EP named Soft EP was released earlier this year on Nicolas Barnes' ECOUL SND label. "I live in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in the Southeast region of Vietnam. The mix was designed along the familiar lines of sunset into night time. Covering a variety of bases, vibes and time periods. Avenue Red Podcast welcomes Marseille-based DJ/artist Sarah Goldfarb for his debut mix on the series. Mastermind of the most hilarious and incisive techno scene memes (for which he is fast becoming uniquely infamous), he is best known to us for his scintillating, deep, shimmering, minimal, clicky micro house & techno releases pressed in the 2000's.
Many older Avenue Red heads will recall some of the important labels he graced, including: Riley Reinhold's Trapez Ltd; Treibstoff; Dumb-Unit; Curle Recordings; 200 Records; Toys For Boys Records and more. It's great to have him back, adding his fresh, zesty ideas once again to this rather murky and unusual realm of the underground. This mix is truly magical. Taste it.
