Back Corner

One of "The Dozens" here writing as a big fan. Reasons the Back Corner is big in my life: 1) you guys prepare--there's thought put into what you'll talk about and you have some stuff prepped beforehand 2) you have guests but it's not just an interview show--you include them in the nonsense 3) speaking of nonsense--I LOVE THE NONSENSE stuff... you guys are just plain funny and riff off each other in a really fun way... I know you both and your real friendship and personality translates so well 4) you engage cultural issues in real time with sensitivity, grace, and a pastoral touch. You are real people talking about this hard stuff and it's great to hear how you engage very hard things with a real word practicality and kingdom vision 5) you don't get preachy much, but you do have lessons in there for everyday Christian living. 6) you talk about your own perspectives as Wesleyans and Canadians and pastors, but you don't use too much parochial language that would be a barrier for some. I dig that (and I like hearing about the US from people not in the US from time to time as well) 7) you take God seriously but not yourselves. 8) you seem like you enjoy having a podcast--it's not a drudgery (yet) and I dig that... I get to sit in the back corner with y'all and it seems like you want to be there. 9) AJ has a way with words and humor that is really wise and concise and laser focused at times in a way that pierces the head and heart 10) Brent has a way of giving wise counsel and pastoral vision for the world that is inspiring and hopeful--he talks like a guy you wanna follow, you feel you can trust him I could go on but that's my top ten. LOVE the pod.
