Back of the Net is AFC Bournemouth's only weekly podcast where Cherries fan can listen to match analysis, features, interviews and behind the scenes information each and every Monday morning. We'll bring you fans vox-pops from the latest Cherries game, as well as providing our own take on proceedings in our Championship, FA Cup and EFL Cup campaigns. As well as featuring the first team, we'll go behind the scenes at the Vitality Stadium, as well as featuring other teams including the Women's team, the Development Squad, and the Under 21's.     How Liverpool's Title Charge Was Nudged Along At Bournemouth

    Darren England's refereeing return played out in inevitable fashion on Saturday in a tasty tussle between two of the Premier League's form sides. With Bournemouth on a record unbeaten run, Cherries fans were buoyant ahead of Liverpool's arrival - but despite a busy opening for the home side, the tone was set on 28 minutes, when Arne Slot's side were awarded a spot kick after a Cody Gakpo fall. Debates rage on amongst Cherries fans about this and a number of decisions made by the ref throughout the game, who bafflingly kept his job as a Premier League ref last season after a huge VAR error during Tottenham's chaotic clash with Liverpool, when Luis Diaz had a goal incorrectly scrubbed out. Whilst England was keen to get the plaudits from the Merseyside contingent, it was Mo Salah's name that Liverpool fans were singing at full-time, as his sublime strike in the second half sent the visitors home with a 2-0 victory. Now that the dust has settled, were Bournemouth "robbed"? Is VAR accurate? Was the referee THAT bad? Sam and Tom discuss the events at Dean Court...     Are Little Old Bournemouth PANICKING Liverpool?

    Andoni Iraola and Arne Slot locking horns on Saturday is arguably THE most important match of the weekend, and judging by Liverpool's selection again PSV in the week, one might suggest that THIS the match they are worried about... Bournemouth are in sparkling form at the moment - on an unbeaten run which is a club record, but so are our opponents Liverpool. The Red half of Merseyside are cruising in the cups, and loving the league - but most fans of our opposition at the weekend sense that this match against the Cherries will prove to be a big statement should they earn a result.     We’re running out of superlatives at the moment. We’re running out of words.     Bournemouth's Eu-FOUR-ia At Newcastle

    On Saturday, AFC Bournemouth fans made the LONGEST trip of the Premier League to face Newcastle at St James Park. Andoni Iraola's Cherries hammered the Magpies in a phenomenal performance which saw them score FOUR, three of them coming from Justin Kluivert - his second hattrick of the season. We know the Cherries have had some big results in their recent history, but is that the best of the lot? We think it is, given the context of having the bare bones of a squad, with kids on the bench and Daniel Jebbison being the only senior outfield player outside of the eleven. Plus, on the pitch, Cherries had no right back - with our centre-midfielder deputising, no striker - with our winger plying his trade there, and add to that, the worrying form of Newcastle - who had won nine in a row, much of it inspired by the most in form striker in world football, as well as a powerful midfield that would be the envy of many Premier League sides. And Cherries beat them. But it wasn’t a tight 1-0. We battered them. And it could have been worse for the Magpies. Sam and Tom go over the events of the day.     Some Newcastle Fans Probably Feel A Bit Silly Right Now

    Former AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe had a shaky start to the season, and some Magpies fans were questioning his future, but with NINE wins in a row, one foot in the Carabao Cup final, and sitting pretty in the Premier League table - it's fair to say that Tyneside is now United behind Eddie and co. With Bournemouth awaiting this weekend, they can make it ten in all competitions, and they'll fancy their chances with the current state of Andoni Iraola's squad. Bournemouth are THREADBARE, and with James Hill being the latest casualty, Cherries are in their worst injury predicament that they've ever had in the top flight, but with a siege mentality comes galvanisation - so can Boscombe perform a miracle in the North East?     Chelsea See Red. Should Bournemouth Have?

    Chelsea's dramatic draw with AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday was littered with contentious issues, leaving fans from BOTH sets of fanbases flabbergasted by actions, of lack of, by referee Rob Jones. David Brooks's coming together with Marc Cucurella left Blues fans reeling, but at the other end, the build up to the late equaliser sparked a debate about a rule that NO-ONE seems to know, not least the officials.
