*Throwback Thursday* DAN BECKER: 'Gear I Wish I Bought Sooner'
On our first THROWBACK THURSDAY, famous Youtuber Dan Becker joins the show to discuss gear choices he wish he bought sooner based upon a series of videos he's put out over the last couple years. Carl agrees with some of his choices but gives some pushback on others. Derek seems to agree with all of Dan's choices...even when they contradict prior statements made by him on the show. Also, feedback about Derek's REI purchase history is shared...and it is more surprising than you might think (or at least more surprising than Carl was expecting).

Good, CLEAN, conversation!
I grew up backpacking and am now just getting back into it. I wanted to find some information about what is new in the world of backpacking and hiking in general. I searched for podcasts that would be both enjoyable to listed to as well as give me the info I was looking for.
I started an episode of this podcast and right out of the gate I enjoyed it. But what really made this my style was the reading of God’s truth! The scripture reading may be small, but I appreciate that it finds its way into a great, informative podcast with people that know what they are talking about.
Keep up the good work! May the Lord bless you in your endeavors, keep you safe, and receive all of the glory from the platform he has provided to you.

Wanna be backpackers love it too!
I've only been on one backpacking trip, but I loved it. I haven't had the motivation to plan another since, but I love your podcast because it's entertaining and gives me great information for when I'm finally ready to get back out on the trail. It's keeping my dream of hiking some of the great trails alive. Thanks!
