Backyard Farmer panelists offer gardening and turf strategies throughout the growing season, so if you've got a problem or question in your garden, check Backyard Farmer first. Backyard Farmer began on what was then KFOR-TV, channel 12 in Lincoln, in the Fall of 1953. The program switched to the new University of Nebraska Television station, KUON-TV, in the Spring of 1954. As the Nebraska Educational Television Network was built, Backyard Farmer's reach expanded to all Nebraskans, and since 1998 has been available online at byf.unl.edu.

The best Gardening Podcast available in the U.S.
I have been a fan of the Backyard Farmer podcast for several years. I have never found a better gardening podcast. Thanks UNL!
Very Informational
I've been following the Back Yard Farmer for two seasons now. I love it and have learned a lot. Along with the numerous mailed in questions, they do little segments on special, seasonally relavent topics. All the panelists are Unv of Neb proffessors, so it's really good, evidence based advice. Since it's video, you actually get to see a lot of the weeds, rots & spots, and plants they are talking about. One of the best podcasts on gardening available.
Love it!
Though I don't live in Nebraska I listen to the garden podcast every week. They do a great job!
