Jeanette Forrey is the Badass Breeder. She has quickly been recognized as one of the industry-leading dog breeders, trainers, and educators. Through her highly successful breeding program, 4E Kennels, Jeanette has raised and placed over two hundred service, facility and therapy dogs, as well as numerous loving, reliable family companions. Recently, she launched a renowned non-profit organization, Healing Hearts, which is placing fully trained working dogs in deserving homes. Additionally, Jeanette has also started her own therapy dog team, bringing the healing comfort of a dog to those who need it most. Having successfully taught regular and at-risk students in the Las Vegas public school system, she combined these diverse worlds to develop the Badass Breeder Mentorship Program. Again, showing her pedigree as an industry disruptor, she has been sharing her secrets related to breeding, puppy curriculum and evaluation techniques, combined with her business ethics. She is relentlessly focused on promoting ethical and dog-centered breeding practices and educating the public to buy smarter to defund puppy mills and ill-intentioned backyard breeders. Great information
I love this podcast chock full of very helpful information about breeding and branding as a breeder. I am thankful for the information and would love to see this podcast grow into an actual podcast instead of a audio recording of a webinar. Having smaller topics instead of longer classes would be helpful for being able to find topics and revisit later quickly. That being said, I highly recommend listening if you are interested in breeding dogs, it may not be in the prettiest package, but the info is Amazing.
Some great info but…
I’m a new breeder, and have been doing as much reading, watching, and learning as possible before my first litter comes. I feel like Jeanette has a lot of great ideas, and a lot of good experience, but the amount of “I don’t judge other breeders, but <judgement>, and the over-confidence, and the acting like she made it all up and has changed dog breeding forever has just been so hard to listen to. I would LOVE to take all of these episodes and just cut them down to the bits of great info, but every episode is about 10 minutes of awesome information, and the rest is ranting, bragging, or fault-finding with other programs. (But then reminding us all that she doesn’t judge others and is all about uniting all the breeders around the world because up until her program, breeders were all cut-throat, horrible people.)
There IS some good information, without question. Just have to tolerate the rest of it to get it.
Great Information, but…
Very helpful if one can mute out the interruptions and overlook the loud excitable voices. I prefer calm, professional and to-the-point.
