My Story, Part 2: From Announcing 'Jett' to Crisis in the ICU: Danielle's Fight for Survival

In Part 1, I shared the moments leading up to Jett’s birth—the exhaustion, the unexpected turns, and the first signs that something wasn’t right. But what happened next? That’s where things took a terrifying turn. In Part 2, we pick up right where we left off. What started as relief and celebration—calling my mom, announcing Jett’s name—quickly spiraled into a full-blown medical crisis. One moment I was holding onto the joy of his birth, and the next, I was in the ICU, freezing, struggling to breathe, and fighting to stay conscious. 🔹 What you’ll hear in this episode: The moment I realized something was very, very wrong. The chaos of medical staff trying (and failing) to get an IV in for a blood transfusion. The moment my breathing changed—and why it was so dangerous. Ashley’s perspective: watching helplessly, navigating the NICU alone, and advocating for me in the ICU. Why this experience changed everything—including how I feel about having more kids. If you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet, pause here and go back—this story starts long before the ICU, and it’s important to hear how it all unfolded. This is a story of survival, trauma, and grief. If you’ve ever felt like your body betrayed you, if you’re carrying the weight of a birth that didn’t go as planned, or if you just need to hear someone say, “I get it,”—this episode is for you. 🎧 💛 Let’s keep this conversation going.
