Thanks for a great suite of podcasts. They have carried me through some crazy times and long drives. Please keep them coming. Now… If someone is writing a negative review based on their political beliefs on a forum for people trying to enjoy themselves listening to entertaining takes on pop-culture and film… That person would have to be a very lonely sole, I’m sorry for the reviewer.

I’ve only listened to the Silo coverage so this is my review of this podcast based on that series only. Full disclosure: I’m a book reader and I loved this book series. My favorite book was Shift (book 2) for the complexity and character depth. As others have mentioned, the show runners have made enough changes to the story and the characters that Silo has to be watched as a “somewhat inspired by” approach to Howey’s books. That said, I find it a bit challenging to listen to this pod since neither of the hosts have read the books, though they do state that up front. So much of each episode is spent spinning theories versus discussing character development. They delight in sharing derogatory opinions about character personalities. I’m not a fan of snarky humor or (unnecessary, IMO) explicit language so I’m probably just following the wrong podcast. Three stars for decent production quality and for keeping me mildly engaged on a series I really enjoy while I multitask.

Updating: Great takes and a very professional approach that is still highly entertaining. Previously this was a four star but after the supergirl episode sheesh. Two stars and fading. They have lost plot and can’t be relied on for a review.
