    October is Filipino Heritage Month and so we decided to record an episode at Hob Coffee in Poway. It's a Filipino owned shop and roast their own beans. If you are in the area you should definitely check them out. We talked about a lot of stuff in this episode including The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Hope you all enjoy this one!

    At Jaunt Coffee in Miramar

    We went to Jaunt Coffee in Miramar. This is Eman's favorite spot and they just recently celebrated their 3rd anniversary. This shop mainly serves the businesses around Miralani but it doesn't stop some coffee nerds like us to check them out. They're really good! So if you're in the area, you should check them out. We talked a little bit about Ferdi's first trip to the east coast. He went to Virginia to visit one of his best friends and god daughter. We also talked a little bit about Spartan Race and if you are interested, talk to us about starting up a team for next year! All this and the usual dumb things Eman say so please enjoy!     At Civil Coffee in Glendale

    On this episode we hung out with our friend and loyal listener Jon. He is a graphic designer by trade and a poet by heart, so come follow his instagram account @thepenandponder Civil Coffee had a nice offering of coffee and when we were there they mainly offered single origin beans for their espresso which is always cool.     What’s up everyone! We are back with a new episode with Eman and Ferdi. This will be the last archived episode we’ll release. Going forward, the new episodes will be more coffee centric and much shorter than our previous episodes. This episode was recorded while we were hanging out at Gerry’s Grill, a popular Filipino restaurant that has a location here in San Diego over at Westfield Plaza Bonita. We will be talking about coffee and our experience purchasing our own home espresso machines. Another topic we touched on is a professional setback and how to grow and learn from it. We also dive into a leadership concept - doing without doing - found in the Tao Te Ching, a book of Taoism. We used a lot of sports references so if you’re into basketball and football then you might find the latter part of our conversation interesting. Future episodes will definitely be shorter so enjoy this last long episode lol ✌🏾

Much of California and Hawaii Covid restrictions were still in place so we discussed some of it as well. We also talked about getting burnt out from social media, asian hate, and virtue signaling.     Hello again Barakos! Sorry we’ve been out of commission for a looong time but we are back! This episode is an old archived recording back in February when Ferdi came back from his first time visiting Hawaii to attend KD’s wedding. This is also the first time we checked out Mostra Coffee in 4S Ranch. As always we will talk about coffee and Ferdi’s adventure first time going to a coffee farm and seeing actual coffee plant in person! Pretty exciting stuff going on along with other topics we covered. We also talked a good lot about the TV show Suits so if you’re into that, tune in!     in today's episode we challenge you to be as laser focused as us and count how many times Eman mentioned Tom Brady's name lol. Kidding aside, we hope you started your week right and thank you in advance for listening to us babble. Ferdi and Eman hung out at Liberty Station at the same exact table everything started. We got some coffee from Westbean Coffee Roaster, a local SD coffee shop, and we hope you check them out because they do make some killer drinks out here. We talked about Tom Brady and how him and other athletes exemplify being a Barako, as well as in TV show characters and memes. We were also able to discuss a little bit a journal entry from Ryan Holiday's book The Daily Stoic, and put it into action in real time when we just kept going even after discovering that a good portion of our initial recording didn't get recorded due to technical difficulties ;) Anyways, thanks for listening and get after it!

    Today Eman and KD will be catching up while Ferdi and Stef are doing some solo adventures lol. Eman talks about honestly wishing he had a girlfriend as well as some updates and what he's been up to lately (or not up to). KD recollects memories from her wedding a week ago and how her community stepped up and made it an even more special and memorable day as she marries her bestfriend Bryson.
