    Why Did Jesus Say, "Don't Tell Anyone"?

    Jesus healed people—and then told them to keep quiet. He silenced demons who correctly identified Him. He told Peter not to reveal that He was the Christ. Yet in Mark 5, Jesus commanded a restored man to go home and tell everyone what the Lord had done for him. So why were some people told to remain silent while another was sent out to spread the news? In this episode of Barely Believing, we explore one of the strangest patterns in the Gospel of Mark. We’ll discover why publicity sometimes interfered with Jesus’ mission, how someone could say the right words about Jesus while completely misunderstanding Him, and why the cross and resurrection changed everything.     Why Smart People Ignore Warnings- Even When Their Lives Depend on It

    Why do intelligent people sometimes freeze, wait, or follow the crowd when danger is obvious?     What If You're Wrong About God?

    What If I’m Wrong About God? What if the things you believe about God are mostly the result of where you were born, how you were raised, or which church you happened to attend? What if another denomination understands something better than yours? What if you have mistaken tradition for truth? And what if you sincerely want to follow God—but still get something important wrong? Those questions can feel terrifying. But the Bible is filled with sincere people who needed to be corrected. Paul was deeply religious and completely convinced he was defending God—while actually persecuting the followers of Jesus. Apollos was gifted, passionate, and knowledgeable, but his understanding was still incomplete. Neither man was abandoned. God confronted, taught, and continued to use them.
