Yes for pet insurance!
Thank you for talking about pet insurance. It needs to be shared with pet community so people can understand that anything can happen. It feels great to be able to say “Yes” to the vet when something is wrong and not have to worry about the dollar signs.
My story for you: It’s been a hard year for our dog Kora, a Siberian husky who is only six years old. In March, she tore her ACL. This required over $5000 worth of surgery and we paid to go to Hydro-therapy so that she could recover quickly. She is our baby girl, and the mascot for my dog treat bakery business, Puddles Barkery.
When it happened, I was overcome with grief and relief. Many years ago, there wouldn’t of been insurance to help with the costs, and I’m sure many dogs were put down because of this injury. We are fortunate enough to have pet insurance through Trupanion, so we could afford the surgery to give her a chance at an amazing and long life. Update: she has recovered well and we’re up to 2-hour hikes again!
