Ester Tapia is an awardee of the Gawad Balagtas for Cebuano Poetry (2019). She also won the Gawad Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (Unang Ganti for Cebuano Poetry).  She is one of the authors of Duhawit (2018) and Sinug-ang (1999). Jessrel was one of the fellows of the Silliman National Writing Workshop. He is actively publishing his works nationally and internationally. His first poetry collection is Lugas sa Balas which was published in 2017 by Bathalad Sugbo, Inc. He was a fellow of the 2019 Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship.     Yudi Santillan I Ang Gahum sa Pulong

    Every episode, there will be a theme that will navigate within the poem of the day. For this episode, we have Yudi Santillan's "Ang Gahum sa Pulong." Yudi is a spoken word poet who recently won first place in the CESAFI: Bangga sa Balak. He is part of Almost Poet Society and the Stray Poets Collective, diverse groups from Cebu that consist of writers, artists, singers, performers, and spoken word poets. He is now continuing his journey as a writer in Dumaguete. He is actively publishing his works on Spotify and Anchor under his penname, Crude. I hope you will like this poem.
