    We’re fresh off an absolute all-timer of a World Baseball Classic final… and it only took Eric about 30 seconds after the last out to announce he’s suddenly got Venezuelan roots. Shocking to nobody. From there we get into what the WBC keeps proving over and over again: the world game is unreal, and MLB could learn a thing or two from the way the tournament builds drama — even if the league would never, ever copy the format for the postseason (which is a shame, because it’d be chaos in the best way). Then we flip into Opening Day mode.
