Unspooled

When first listening to Unspooled, the more scripted format admittedly takes some getting used to compared to HDTGM. That being said, Paul and Amy just keep getting better at this. All of the whining about Amy’s opinions just show that we’ve forgotten what cultural criticism is and everything is either S TIER or terrible. What a boring way to live life. She brings the backup most of the time, even if you are offended (like when she wanted to do the thought exercise in which Spielberg doesn’t exist… I completely disagree but at least it gets you wondering).

The Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway train station featured in “The Wiz” is a famous large multi-train track subway station with a section that is decommissioned and is used in many film and tv programs that need a NYC subway station location.

Overall I really like this podcast. However when Amy doesn’t like a movie, she is an insufferable nitpick. She can exhibit a double standard that is completely transparent. If she doesn’t see that she does this, she’s either delusional or she just doesn’t care.

It’s a ridiculous amount of ads. The latest episode had so many ad breaks that I had to search how to make a review. There are too many ad free movie podcasts to pretend this one is better than them.
