Yoga nidra means sleep with a trance of awareness. It is the state of mind between being awake and in a dream state. When you practice yoga nidra, you are opening up deeper phases of your mind and allowing yourself to drop into deep states of rest and rejuvenation. Just a single hour of yoga nidra is as restful as four hours of conventional sleep. In this practice, we are not only relaxing, but we are restructuring and reforming our whole inner being. It can relaxes the whole body & mind system, awaken the psychic body, provides an experience on the astral plane and shifts pressures that influence the brain.

Those who regularly practice loving kindness meditation are able to increase their capacity for forgiveness, connection to others, self-acceptance, and more. The original name of this practice is metta bhavana, which comes from the Pali language. Metta means ‘love’ (in a non-romantic sense), friendliness, or kindness: hence ‘loving-kindness’ for short. It is an emotion, something you feel in your heart.
