    EPISODE 1

S7 E1 - Early Onset Parkinson’s, Body Image & Turning Pain Into Purpose with Annmarie O'Connor

Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussion of chronic illness, grief, loss, and disordered eating. Sometimes life doesn’t just change - it asks you to become someone new. In this episode, I sit down (again) with Annmarie O'Connor, someone who first joined me back in 2019, and whose life has transformed in ways neither of us could have imagined. Since we last spoke, Annmarie has been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease. What follows is one of the most honest, raw, and deeply human conversations we’ve had on BeBelle. From the diagnosis, to finding purpose again through storytelling, she shares it all with such courage and clarity. This is a conversation about illness, but more than that, it’s about resilience, identity, and what it means to truly live when everything changes. ✨ In this episode: Annmarie’s early symptoms and the long road to diagnosisWhat Parkinson’s actually is and why it’s often misunderstoodLiving with a progressive condition and the unpredictability it bringsThe reality of pain, fatigue, and managing symptoms day to dayWriting her book Twitch and turning pain into purposeDisordered eating, body image, and facing old patternsGrief, not just for others, but for past versions of yourselfThe power of visibility and breaking stigma around illnessWhat her friend’s passing taught her about life, friendship, and timeWhy “we all have a twitch” and how our stories connect us You can find Annmarie here: Linktr.ee | Instagram | Website | TikTok ____ BeBelle is a podcast hosted by Sian Horn that dives into the stories of remarkable people behind their businesses. EPISODE 2

S7 E2 - From Addiction to “The Mother of All Comebacks”: Brenda Dennehy on Sobriety, Identity & Rebuilding Her Life

Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussion of addiction, substance abuse, overdose, and mental health struggles. “I promise you… I’ll make the mother of all comebacks.” This week’s episode is one I won’t forget. I sit down with Brenda Dennehy, known to many as Brenda’s Bits, for a conversation that is raw, honest, and deeply powerful. Brenda is a broadcaster, podcaster, and storyteller who has worked with Sky News, BBC, and ITV, building a career around sharing real-life stories with honesty, humour, and heart. But behind that career was a very different reality. In this episode, she opens up about her journey through addiction, the moments that nearly broke her, and what it really took to come back from it all. What struck me most is how she owns every part of her story. The shame, the setbacks, the rock bottoms, and the decision to rebuild anyway. Now almost seven years sober, Brenda is using her voice in a completely different way, through her podcast The Comeback with Brenda Dennehy and her work as a coach, helping others feel seen, supported, and less alone. ✨ In this episode: Growing up in Cork and early dreams of working in mediaThe moment alcohol first “worked” Functioning addiction and hiding it from those closest to herRehab at 25 and the first turning pointThe reality of Xanax addiction and mixing substancesOverdose, hospitalisation, and a second chanceLosing her job and identity, and starting again“The mother of all comebacks” mindsetRebuilding her career and moving to LondonThe power of storytelling and sharing real experiencesCreating The Comeback podcast and helping others heal You can find Brenda here: Instagram | The Comeback Podcast Instagram | YouTube ____ BeBelle is a podcast hosted by Sian Horn that dives into the stories of remarkable people behind their businesses. “I wasn’t prepared for what happened… no one tells you what it’s really like.” Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussion of miscarriage, baby loss, trauma, and mental health.  This week I'm joined by Lorna Cronin, known online as @lorzylovey and while you might know her for her humour and relatability, this episode shares the story behind the laughter. Lorna opens up about her experience of multiple miscarriages, including one deeply traumatic loss that changed everything for her. She speaks so honestly about the loneliness, the shock, and the reality of what women go through, often in silence. We also talk about her journey with weight, body image, and her experience using GLP-1 medication, and how it’s impacted not just her body, but her mind. What I loved most about this conversation is Lorna’s ability to hold both truth and humour at the same time, and how she uses comedy not to hide, but to cope. “We all want somebody who sees us and loves us.” Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussion of alcoholism and eating disorders This week’s episode is such a beautiful reminder that sometimes the people who bring the most joy into the world have had to fight very hard to find it themselves. I’m joined by Edgar Kirby, and from the moment we sat down, I knew this conversation was going to stay with me. Edgar opens up about growing up with parents who struggled with alcoholism, and being raised by his older sister from the age of four.  We talk about dance, creativity, food, binge eating disorder, body image, and the pressure so many people feel to constantly “keep going.” Edgar also shares how losing his dance studio during Covid unexpectedly became the beginning of a completely new chapter - one that led him into coaching, social media, and helping thousands of people change their relationship with food and themselves.
