Hi Curtis & Dinah,
First, I think your union is absolutely beautiful and your podcast is a reflection of that and the presence of God in between, but also just the joy you both share together. I can only imagine how awesome your daughters have turned out with you both leading the way.
I watched your appearance on JLP show and i appreciated your approach so much to stay calm and clear. I’m not sure if you are friends with him outside of that, if he truely believes what he says, or if it’s all just manipulating the word of God for clout.
I wanted to share what happened to me with you so you can possibly pass It along to JLP because God knows if i call he’ll just try to flip It on me.
This summer my fiancé at the time (been together 5 years on and off) began watching JLP. Everything this time we had gotten back together, was better but now I’m aware of the deeper issues. That said, We were going to church & i truely believed this time we were really building a relationship that children could possibly come into. One day he came across Jessie and began watching everyday and preaching Jessie’s message (some of which is true i understand). But things then began to unravel. He became more verbally abusive than ever before to try to “get me to submit” and actually began physically putting his hands on me & truthfully throwing me around when i would ignore the verbal abuse. He just became even more of a dominating man of “God”. The truth is he wasn’t prior to Jessie the best partner to me, but JLPs show gave him the justification to say that i bring out the devil in him & even more so silence me and blame me. anything i asked for even kindness was my controlling -ness. I don’t know if this will ever relay to him, but his message to the wrong men is extremely dangerous. Especially malleable men that didn’t have strong male role models for what love looks like (like what you both share). The forgiving message he has is all good and well, but on the other hand even if his intentions weren’t so, he added to escalating abuse in my home. Xoxo God Bless
