Welcome to Becky Rants! For those that know me outside of this space, I am known for my impassioned rants that range from hilarity to serious topics to get loud about. So I figured now is as good a time as any to stop forcing the people in my life to be my audience - whether it be my mom in the kitchen as she cooks dinner, my mom as she is getting ready for bed, or a serious of texts to my mom in a fury of words and emotions. Really...this is just a podcast to save my mom from having to say "you are preaching to the choir, Beck"

Who is surprised I am still sentimental about moving to DC 3 years ago? Absolutely no one. Spent some time reflecting on the Lord’s faithfulness. how i got here. why traditions matter. and a little bit about how much i love my job (part 2 will contain more on that part 😉) Here’s to year 4!

....about nonsense and podcasting
Beginnings are....awkward. and hard. It is as much about learning something new as it is figuring out where you fit in all of it. so that's what this is. The awkward part one in a ???? part series. there really is no agenda or plan. this is as amateur as it sounds. but verbal processing often helps me silence the noise. and I have also found that every time I process in a public space - I am connected with people and resources I would not have otherwise found. So this is as much for me as anything else that may come from it.
Anyways! Thanks for listening :) Hope this can maybe in some way be beneficial to you as well. Eventually, I will learn how to make this something a little more refined than what it is right now, but I also know that if I don't start with something soon - I will let insecurity and perfectionism ruin the fun and I don't want that either.
