MasaHY (pronounced "mɑsə eɪʧ waɪ") is a beatmaker based in Tokyo. He started his music career as a hip-hop club DJ in the mid-90's and has about 15 years of experience. From his experience as a club DJ, he not only has a keen eye for the latest music trends, but also has a deep knowledge of R&B, Dancehall Reggae, Jazz Fusion, Disco, and Funk.

He follows the beatmaking style of 90's Hip Hop and uses the "Akai MPC" as his main equipment. He specializes in creating grooves reminiscent of sampled sounds using DAWless methods. He re-samples the sound material he plays to create his own loops.

In 2021, he released his long-awaited debut album "The Art of Soundscape". In recent years, he has been actively fusing diverse musical cultures through collaborations with many Afro and Caribbean artists, and is expected to grow as an international music producer.
