    There's Still Good

    It can be easy to be grateful when life is going well. Today we talk about how powerful it is to find gratitude when things are feeling tough. As I’m creating this episode, my family has been evacuated because of a wildfire, my husband has been gone through the night helping with work, and it hasn't felt easy. And yet, writing this episode reminded me of something I really needed to remember: Gratitude isn't just for the good days. Sometimes it's what helps us through the hard ones. Have you ever noticed how two people can experience very similar lives, yet one seems genuinely joyful while the other always feels disappointed? I spend a lot of time thinking about why that is. In this episode, we’re talking about the stories we tell ourselves, what we choose to notice, and how gratitude can actually change the way we experience our lives—without pretending the hard things aren't hard. Because the dishes are still there and so is the grief, stress, disappointment, and hard seasons of life. But there's still good: The husband who keeps showing up.A little boy who smiles anyway.The sunset.A friend who checks in.The prayer you almost forgot you prayed.The tiny tender mercies we might have missed if we weren't looking for them. Happiness doesn't actually come from finally getting everything we've been asking for, it begins in finally seeing everything we've already been given. If you're walking through a hard chapter right now, I hope this episode reminds you that you don't have to choose between acknowledging the hard and seeing that there is also still good, both can be true.

    Have you ever been surrounded by people you love and somehow still felt… lonely? That was me this week. And honestly, I didn’t really expect it. I have people I love deeply. I have a beautiful family, amazing friends, and so many people in my life who care about me. So why did I feel so unseen? As I sat with that question, I realized there was something underneath it I hadn’t really let anyone see. In this episode I share my story and testimony of who does see me and you. So, if you’ve also ever wondered, “But who sees me?” — this one is for you. Because friend, I think sometimes we just need the reminder: God sees you. He knows what you’re carrying, and you have never been invisible to Him.
