Special Episode- Uvalde, Texas
In response to the Uvalde school shooting on May 24, 2022, the student producers at Mamaroneck felt it was necessary for them to cover the impact of this recent tragedy on the MHS community. Many often hear of these student-involved events through large media outlets, so they believe it would be important for the community to hear a different perspective - the generation of students shaped by school shootings.
Special thanks to MHS Principal Elizabeth Clain, custodian Victor Quinones, counselor Robert Schwartz, teachers Peter Greene, Sarah Silverman, Elyse Gellert-Mullen, and Kimberly Caporaso, and Amanda Gundling’s Chorus Class for speaking with us, and especially to the Chorus Class for providing our outro music for this episode.
Other voices in this episode wished to remain anonymous. MPR thanks all those who contributed to this episode.
