I had the tremendous honor of having former attorney and judge Mary Beth on the show as a special guest.


Her strength and perseverance over life's challenges and barrier's is second to none as we begin learning about Mary Beths struggles and tribulations through physical, sexual, and emotional abuse that led to substance abuse and addiction.


Throughout this episode Mary Beth begins to talk about her life of drug addiction growing up in New Jersey.


Mary Beth also talks about certain parts of her book From Junkie to Judge: One Woman's Triumph Over Trauma and Addiction, where she describes the child abuse that led to teenage meth addiction, the chaos of that addiction, and building a recovery plan that worked for her. Plus, how she became an attorney and a judge!

Justin is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with certifications as a Family Trauma and Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional. Justin currently provides therapy, consultation, parenting assessments, as well as parent education trainings. Recently, Justin began his doctoral program with the hopes of becoming a licensed psychologist, as well creating a mental health hub in the Greater Saint Peter area.
