Hi, I am Raquel! I am a creative entrepreneur, a mom, and a wedding industry professional. When I started my wedding planning career, I had nothing, but I knew I had the edge to grow in this incredible industry and establish my name. I remember feeling and still do, that I would do anything to be one of the best wedding planners in the world. This podcast is about, establishing your goals and manifesting them into a thriving career in the wedding industry. It’s also going to be about my personal aspirations and struggles, hearing from other industry professionals and their experiences, and setting your ego aside so that you can attract and receive greatness. Any fruit I have in my life is a direct result of my relationship with God and the transforming power of Jesus. The Bible says to "fix your eyes on things that are above, not on earthly things" and to "renew your mind and transform your heart" - these principles drive me to do what I do. The more you set your mind on higher places and have faith that sees beyond your natural limitations, the more likely you will overcome any challenging circumstance. In college, I dreamt of becoming a photographer who travels to incredible destinations for work, and I've been doing it for years because everything I believe that what you set your mind to will have a direct impact on your reality. I genuinely love marriage and what it stands for, as well as my clients and the people surrounding them on their wedding day. No wedding is just a job for me. It’s an honor to be invited into such a sacred space with my couples, their families, and friends. From this place, I hope to be a source of peace, to remind my couples to stay grounded and preset with each other and everyone around them throughout the day. MANIFESTATION THOUGHTS FROM CAITLIN I definitely believe in manifestation and putting energy into what you want to achieve, that also has to come with a lot of hard work, but I do think that when you think positively and you picture and talk about your goals often, you are putting intentions out into the universe. You also have to take action to make change so I am a firm believer in just dipping your toe it and taking it one step at a time. If you sit back and do nothing, then nothing will happen, but you have to be willing to take that first step and take some risks along the way. A writer and communications/marketing consultant for over 25 years, most of Brian’s work has been as an award-winning political consultant and communications strategist (including speechwriting and debate prep) for federal and state campaigns. Knowing his skills as a writer and speaker, his friends and family would ask him for help with their wedding speeches—and he had the honor of officiate a few weddings himself. In mid 2021, after interviewing Jon Macks, a speechwriter and a lead writer for the Tonight Show and other comedians for many years, Brian was inspired and started to look at the wedding industry as a possible career change, and ultimately, after getting some feedback on Clubhouse by other wedding pros, he and his wife Nicole formed Vows & Speeches.
