Beirut Trauma Box

Beirut Trauma Box is an intimate first-hand account of the 2020 Beirut explosion that pieces together the fragmented memories of producer Elena Dikomitis and her former aid worker colleagues. Reflecting on the repeated traumas faced by Lebanese people, the documentary asks how crisis-hit societies can remember national tragedies and demand accountability while being pushed to move on. Beirut Trauma Box is a tribute to the victims and survivors of the explosion and an act of resistance against the silencing of collective memory far beyond Lebanon.
