Jesus is not what you're hoping for. This is the reality some of his followers had the boldness to express on the first Easter Sunday. They'd hoped for something different than what He was and they missed who He was. Maybe that's you. You're missing Jesus because He ain't what you hoped for... but we've got good news, He's better.

Easter Week begins with Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem that is catapulted by a silent yes from some people who had what the Lord needed. It's their "yes" that ushered in the Savior of the world and it's our "yes" that ushers Him to those near to us and far from God. Open your heart today and let your heart be open to what the Lord may need from you.

Most of us live thinking we're our boss, but that's not what the Scripture teaches. Romans 6 shows us that our boss is either Jesus or sin. That's it. Lean in to this teaching as Isaac Johnson helps us figure out who our boss really is.
