    Dominic "Nick" Martorana - Murdered - 3/25/92

On March 24, 1992, Dominic Martorana, while working for the Metro Cab Company, was dispatched to pick-up a fare in the 400 block of North Fifth Street in the city of Reading. That was the last radio contact with Martorana and it is unknown if that fare was ever picked up. Martorana was last observed operating his cab between 9:30 and 10 p.m. in the city. On March 25,1992, at 12:50 a.m., the victim's cab was discovered at Skyline Drive and List Road in Lower Alsace Township, Berks County. The cab was unoccupied and the investigation revealed that the cab had been set on fire. It has been determined that a dark skinned male was observed walking away from the cab fire and it is believed that this individual is involved in the incident. This subject was described as wearing a dark colored jacket with a gold emblem, described as a lightning bolt or stripe. Martorana's body was discovered in the Schuylkill River at the Kernsville Dam in Hamburg at 10:45 a.m. on March 25,1992. An autopsy revealed that Martorana had been stabbed 39 times with a knife. Phylicia Thomas - Missing Since 2/11/2004

Phylicia Thomas Background:  Phylicia was a young woman from Pennsylvania, known for her caring nature, love for animals, and dedication to her family. She worked at a local convenience store and lived with her boyfriend, Ed Rudaski. Disappearance Details (February 11, 2004):  Phylicia returned home from work late at night and was last seen by her boyfriend, Ed, who reported having a conversation with her before going back to sleep. She was reported missing by her mother approximately 41 hours after last being seen. Police Investigation:  The police looked into Phylicia's activities leading up to her disappearance. She was seen leaving a party with Steve Martin, who was a person of interest in the disappearance of Phylicia's friend, Jennifer Barziloski, in 2001. Phylicia had been asking around about Jennifer's disappearance before she went missing herself. Witness Accounts:  Witnesses claimed Phylicia was taken into a bedroom at a party and witnesses say they heard screams coming from the room. Some alleged that Ed Rudaski was also at the party and in the bedroom, despite his initial statements to the police. However, these accounts were dismissed due to the witnesses being suspected of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Subsequent Events: Steve Martin, a person of interest in Phylicia's case, was arrested and jailed on an unrelated charge. He later died by suicide in his jail cell. Ed Rudaski was never charged in connection to Phylicia's disappearance. Jennifer Barziloski's Remains: Jennifer's remains were found years later in 2010, but Phylicia's remains have never been found. This discovery added complexity to the case and reinforced suspicions about the connection between the two disappearances. Challenges with Police Cooperation:  Phylicia's mother expressed frustration with the police's handling of the case, citing difficulties in obtaining information and collaboration. She expressed a desire to share information but claimed to face resistance and threats from law enforcement. Ongoing Investigation:  The case remains open, and authorities have identified a possible suspect, but no concrete leads have emerged as of the latest information. The disappearance of Phylicia Thomas remains a haunting unsolved mystery, compounded by the interconnectedness of various individuals and events surrounding her case. The quest for answers continues as her loved ones seek closure and justice.
