Berlin Footnote tx001 "Charlottengrad and the sunken village of Lietzow"

Berlin Footnote is a psychogeographic audio series. A map made of detours. We follow Berlin’s subconscious through courtyards, side-streets, lake edges, and hidden passageways where the official story frays and other voices slip through. Transmission 001 begins at an enigmatic concrete banana under the bridge at Stuttgarter Platz and drifts into Charlottengrad, towards Lietzensee. It’s a walking tour not limited to those who are physically taking it. We visit diasporic bookstores, local characters, historical oddities, Vladimir Nabokov’s Berlin as a flickering double-exposure, as well as Aleister Crowley lurking at the edges of Weimar nightlife. Plus legends that won’t stay buried: the sunken village of Lietzow, as well as the Eternal and inevitable resuscitation of the white lady of Hohenzollern .
